Hey, I'm Juliette Kelsey Holmes with Martin Grant Associates, And I just wanted to make a quick comment, I guess, on the survey that we had posted out there this week. Just asking high level what everybody's top challenges are in recruiting. Drumroll, please. Not surprisingly, it's the, you know, shortage of of talent out there. And what I find really interesting is that back in 2003, I read a book. Called the impending crisis, um, too many jobs, too few people and really it predicted that even by 2010 we were going to start to feel the effects of. Just the workforce demographics as well as the. Sort of amount of retirements and sort of the skilled workers, we're going to be, like I said, retiring and moving out of the industry and then the amount of folks that we weren't. Attracting into the industry as well as we weren't. Right. Training up into the industry and so what's fascinating to me is that that that it said that was all going to start happening in in 2010, which I definitely felt but you know, Fast forward now 15 more years, I don't think that that has changed and, and, you know certainly comment and let me know what you're feeling but I, I don't I think in our industry niche of insurance and, and. Both property casualty and employee benefits, we we are seeing a deficit of skilled talent in most markets across the country and so. Yeah. And I do think some of that is, is partly to do, there's a lot of retirements during COVID. And while I do think some firms have done well with training programs and. And kind of getting people right out of college interested in the industry. I think there was too much of A deficit to to fully fill the gap. And we still have a lot of like junior kind of early in their career experience talent and then more senior level talent. And then we've got a real gap somewhere in the middle, which is, you know, sort of like prime. Years of experience that a lot of jobs are looking for so. I found it all very, very fascinating since this has been coming for a long time and while I see some ups and downs and maybe a little progress here and there, ultimately you're vying for a limited pool of talent out there. And so, you know, I think that's where considering, you know, what your recruiting strategies are going to be in order to get in front of talent that may not be actively looking. And really get them interested in considering having a conversation with your firm. I think that's something that recruiters do really well. So you might want to have a conversation with an industry niche recruiter who can help you navigate this candidate short market and. I would encourage that for you and your team. So interesting times. We'll see how things continue to evolve. You know, maybe AI will will clone insurance talent for us at some point in the future, But at the moment we definitely have a shortage and I don't see that changing too, too much anytime soon.
