This year's Shoptalk came and went in the blink of an eye! Now that we've hosted our VIP Retail Media Dinner with Particular Audience and Qsic, sponsored the Path to Purchase Institute's Retail Media OG Party, attended numerous insightful sessions and enjoyed a few spicy margaritas ?? with our peers, we've departed the Las Vegas Strip and are ready to reflect!
Our top three takeaways:
1?? Despite ongoing tension with the US government, TikTok showed up in a big way and debuted enhanced commerce features. We predict more RMNs will leverage the platform, as Threefold already has, to reach consumers along their shopping journey.
2?? AI will drive efficiencies and streamline processes across retail. For retail media, it will help enable the personalized shopping experiences that consumers crave, driving sales for brands and repeat investment for retailers.
3?? Retailers are continuing to realize the only path forward is omnichannel, and they must marry their digital and in-store strategies. We've been banging the drum ?? on the store for over a decade. For the rest of 2024 and beyond, we anticipate greater retailer focus on the store, offering huge retail media potential for brands.
