Opportunities to collaborate with amazing clients who champion initiatives I deeply believe in—making this world a better place, one project at a time. ? The chance to collaborate with brilliant talent who create with their hearts to make work that inspires, excites, and makes people think. ? Supportive coworkers who go above and beyond every single day—humans I admire and truly adore, and who make this industry feel collaborative, not competitive. ? Leadership that fosters growth, navigates industry ebbs and flows, and helps me expand my role while constantly looking for ways to elevate the entire company. ?? Lucky for me... I already have all of that (and then some) at Gnarly Bay. I have to pinch myself sometimes. Seven years in, and I get to wake up every day knowing I’m part of something truly special. Supported by incredible people. Working on meaningful projects. Creating things that matter. If anyone out there thinks they can top this, I’m all ears. Great session yesterday with Beks Yelland, Saskia Hill and Phil Hornby on mastering your first 100 days in a new product role. Key takaways for me were: ?? Build relationships across the org by speaking withe colleagues and learn about their work ?? Use the advantage of having 'fresh eyes' to identify issues and opportunities ?? Understand why things are the way they are before jumping in and trying to change everything! ?? Drive your onboarding and pro-actively put time in with your line manager. ?? Communicate regularly with them on what you've been up to ?? 'Sew up holes in comms' - often the perception is different from the reality, so make sure everyone understands what's really going on ?? Week 4 of being at TAMI Starting a new job is always a mix of excitement, feeling like the new kid at school, and getting to really understand what is going on day to day. If there is anything that I could take away from the last few weeks, it would be the following: ?? Data is King - Having the right data on your target accounts and identifying the right accounts for your team to pursue is more important now than ever. With the rise of tools like Outreach and Salesloft, it's easier than ever to contact vast numbers of prospects, but the spray-and-pray approach really isn't the way to go. It's the best way to get a bad reputation and it's totally unnecessary. ??♀? Your people are your superpower - Getting to know people when you start is one thing, but getting to know their skills and talents is so much more important. Luckily, I've joined a team with a huge amount of talent. Not only in the sales team but across the board, the TAMI team is really impressive at what they do. ?? The small things make the culture - Simple things like music playing in the background, team events, and clear and consistent communication make all the difference in how people feel day to day. Good culture is key, especially in such a young company. There will be bumps along the way, but if people are bought into the project, it makes it so much easier. Now it's time to kick on and make some waves - more to come! ??

Today I am celebrating one full week at my new job, and finally checking something off my to-do list! ?? Starting a new job or project comes with so many large tasks, that it's hard to find small things to check off along the way. It's a process of familiarizing yourself with everything and figuring out where in the world to begin. For me, it's important to have those small, tangible accomplishments as reminders that even if I haven't reached the main goal, I am well on my way. It's like trying to wink at someone in the dark, they’re never going to see it. Honestly, I avoided talking about my wins because I didn’t want to seem arrogant. But here’s the reality: sharing what you’ve accomplished isn’t showing off—it’s making sure your work gets the recognition it deserves. So if you’re just starting out (or even if you’re a few years in), remember this: Hard work is the foundation, but visibility opens doors. Make it a habit to: ?? Build genuine relationships ?? Planning and executing successful events is where strategy meets creativity—but it's not without its challenges! ??? You can do all the planning, but when it comes to execution, there are always surprises. Sometimes some attendees don't show up on time or at all, or a vendor might disappoint by not meeting their contractual obligations. Despite these hurdles, the joy of seeing everything come together makes it all worthwhile. Here’s a glimpse of a client engagement event, where we overcame challenges to create an impactful experience. Work Goals: This month, we're rolling out a new layout at the Sales Department at Aspen, and I'm excited to play a pivotal role in helping to train our entire team. We're moving the team from SDRs to AEs, ready to crush it from lead generation to closing deals! ?? Personal Goals: I'm diving into a new hobby this month! It was about time for me to find something fun to do during the week so I can break free from the work grind and enjoy more than just weekends. I've started taking daily walks before work to clear my mind and set a positive tone for the day. Plus, I'm making it a point to have at least one thing to look forward to each day—small things that bring me joy, like a good book, a new recipe, or a spontaneous adventure.
