Wins, losses, and lessons—here’s my unfiltered 2024 recap. ?? Just wrapped up my personal year-in-review journaling and thought I'd share some highlights, lowlights, and lessons from 2024. Why do I do this? ?? Because I'm overly critical of myself and my achievements—and this helps me actually see how far I've come. ?? ?????????????? ????????????????????: ? Welcoming our second child—pure joy. ?? ?? ? Cohosting CS tracks for @ARRtist Circus ?? ?? ? Making an impact in the lives of my followers. ?? ? Hitting my two-year financial earning target. ?? ?? ? Assembling the best CS team I’ve had in 7 years. ?? ?? ? Completing several woodworking projects at home. ??? ?? ? Closing 2024 NRR at 120%+—a huge win for the team. ?? ? Growing CS Connect—30+ events, new chapters, and connecting with amazing people. ?? ?????????????? ??????????????????: ? Failing to launch a CS Connect Chapter I had high hopes for. ?? ? Not spending enough time with friends—big area to improve. ?? ? Downsizing the CS team early in 2024—tough decisions. ?? ? Being consistent on LinkedIn. ?? ? Not taking enough 'mental' days off. ?? ?????????? ?????? ?? ???????? ?????????????? ?????? ????????? ? Building out CS Connect bigger, better, stronger. ?? ? Rebuilding my CS team—ready for the next level. ?? ? Growing my family—nothing beats that. ?? ? ?????????? ???????? ?????????? ???????? ???????? ????????????: ? Being more mindful of social media—less scrolling, more creating. ?? ? Upskilling myself—need to focus more here. ?? ? Creating a system to read more. ?? ?????????????? ??????????????: Simplicity and clarity are easy to talk about, but hard to deliver on. ?? ???????? ??’?? ?????????????? ?????????? ???? ????????: ? Taking our CS team at Oaky to the top 10% of SaaS companies (NRR goals locked in). ?? ?? ? Scaling CS Connect with a renewed mission. Bigger impact, bigger community. ?? That’s my year in review. Writing this on January 1st, 2025 Wow, what a year 2024 was. Honestly, it felt like a rollercoaster – the kind where you're not sure if you're screaming from excitement or terror half the time. We had some incredible highs, but there were definitely moments where things got rough. ?? We lost two of our highest-paying clients. Ouch. ?? We had to take a hard look at ourselves and figure out what was working and what... wasn't. ?? Completely reworked how we operate to fix the cracks in our foundation. ?? Then, in November, we landed a massive tech company after tweaking how we deliver our services. The lessons? We're not invincible (and that's okay). Results are the only thing that matter. Period. We’re only two years into our journey. We’re not perfect, but we’re figuring it out – one lesson, one pivot, one win at a time. 2025 - We’re leaning into what we’re best at: delivering sales-qualified leads with a guarantee. No fluff, no guesswork. Just results. 2025 is about doubling down on what works, cutting the nonsense, and building something unstoppable. Let’s do this. ?? Watch this space ??
