Nammo AS - current providers of solid rocket motors for AMRAAM, Sidewinder and Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile, and Raytheon, an RTX business, signed an agreement to support the expansion of Nammo’s Perry, Florida site. This planned expansion introduces new manufacturing lines to increase production of critical solid rocket motors in the United States. Through this agreement, Nammo and Raytheon ensure another reliable and independent domestic source of rocket motors for its current and future weapon systems. Nammo has demonstrated its capabilities in solid rocket motor propulsion development and production since the 1960s. Nammo has produced rocket motors for several weapon systems and has delivered over 35,000 for the Sidewinder program alone.
