?? Empowering Women in Tech: Building Authentic Personal Brands ?? I had the incredible opportunity to deliver a virtual presentation on Personal Branding to the amazing team at ServiceNow. A heartfelt thank you to Valentina Raineri for inviting me and amassing a remarkable turnout—214 participants from around the globe! The workshop focused on empowering women in tech to build authentic personal brands with purpose and intention. Through interactive discussions and polls, we uncovered key insights about where attendees are on their personal branding journeys: 42% have done some work but haven’t fully defined their brand. 33% are just beginning to explore the basics. We also explored the biggest challenges in building personal brands, with: 40% highlighting building self-confidence to self-promote, and 25% noting the importance of finding mentors and sponsors. These insights reaffirm the need for intentional strategies and community support to foster growth and confidence. It was inspiring to see so many passionate individuals ready to take the next steps in owning their stories and amplifying their unique voices. On our way to Dreamforce! Next week, A-mind Business Group will attend Salesforce's annual event in San Francisco. A major focus for us will be exploring how Salesforce can serve as a technical enabler for companies looking to transition toward a sustainable business model. While many companies aim to enhance their sustainability, they often face challenges when transforming ambition into action. Successfully shifting to a sustainable business model goes beyond the obvious steps—such as updating strategy, unlocking business value, and seizing new market opportunities through innovative offerings. It’s about fundamentally transforming the corporate DNA, involving the people and the culture. And this is where change becomes tough, particularly when it comes to shifting behaviors, norms, and individual mindsets. The first step is to stop viewing sustainability solely through a compliance or ESG reporting lens. A much greater impact can be achieved when sustainability goals are embedded into core operational processes. It's Friday!!!! LinkedIn ?? Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining a thought-provoking 20-minute session with Michelle Nwoga , hosted by Lynn Hunsaker, CCXP . One insight struck a chord so deeply, I can't help but share: "Customer Experience Professionals are catalysts, not crusaders." This simple statement captures the essence of our role as CX professionals. It explains why we find ourselves weaving through every facet of the business—from finance to operations, and even IT. Here's the wake-up call: we (yes, I'm pointing at myself too) often get caught up in the whirlwind of problem-solving. In our eagerness to fix, we risk overlooking the broader landscape. Instead of being the catalyst that ignites team ownership, we might inadvertently don the crusader's armour, charging ahead when we should be empowering others. Let me paint a picture from my own experience: My team and I frequently brainstorm solutions to identified issues. We used to come armed with our "perfect" fix, just in case stakeholder sessions didn't immediately yield results. But here's the kicker—when we stepped back and truly engaged our stakeholders, the ideas that emerged were nothing short of revolutionary. The fusion of CX insight with technical expertise spawned creative solutions we hadn't even imagined. This revelation shifted our approach. Now, we champion the process owner to lead the charge, with our role pivoting to that of facilitators—bringing key stakeholders to the table and nurturing collaborative problem-solving. Our mission in CX is to cultivate a culture where everyone—from the C-suite to the front lines—becomes a CX advocate. That's the secret sauce for sustainable customer experience transformation. When CX becomes everyone's responsibility, that's when we see lasting, impactful change. Now, I'm curious—have you caught yourself playing the crusader rather than the catalyst in your CX role? Yet another engaging and fruitful conversation with the WiSE - Women in Sales Enablement Indianapolis group this week - this time around enablement role's in M&A activity. Suffice to say that every single person on the call had either had an experience being acquired or was the acquirer. No strangers to change here!! Some people were in the thick of acquisition too. The team was curious learn about: ?? Collaboration - how to collaborate among the different stakeholders "across the aisle," especially when confidentiality is paramount and the visibility into the "other" org structure might be limited ?? Tips for things to have buttoned up when the acquisition goes live ?? How to think about people resources and alignment, both in an enablement context but also a revenue team context. Importantly, we also discussed what good looks like in an acquisition motion. Here were my favorites: ?? Practitioners need to know their "span of influence versus the span of control" for enablement, especially when blending two teams. ??? Early access is paramount - this is where your ability to have a seat AND voice at the table during "normal times" will pay off. ??
