Promoted or hired as a Sales Manager? Here's what to do on Day 1. I've been in this position several times. There's a lot to earning respect as a new Sales Manager. So, let's just start with the first day. ? Gather the team together; sales, pre-sales, support. ? Introduce yourself, give your background and then, most importantly, explain why you are there. Don't hold anything back. Expansion, replacement, whatever it is. ?Let everyone know, "We are all here to succeed. And to do so, will require some changes in our processes." (Avoid talking about changes in personnel at this point.) ? Tell them you will be speaking with them 1:1 soon to get to know them and understand their perspective. ? Ask for questions. This is your first, and best, chance to show your listening skills, honesty, and empathy. All the traits you want to see in them. Finally, let everyone know, "We succeed as a team. And I am right here with you!"?? ??If you're an experienced Sales Manager, what would you suggest?

When I started sales it was unintentional as the job title was event manager. And in my 24 year old mind I was like "I can do events!". Yes it was new and different but I was up for the challenge. I apply for the job and next week I get 2 interviews and the next week I was hired. I was going to be an event manger....si I thought. Only to discover that I was a sales rep they termed brand ambassador selling Direct (satelite) TV in Sams Clubs and Walmarts. And before I knew it I found myseld in HARCORE SALES! That was back in March 2013, mind you at this point and time I HATED sales people. I had thought they were pushing, intrusive, disrespectful of people's wishes and just down right forceful. Which I later discovered that could not be further from the truth. I discovered a true sales person is a expert, a consultant, a doctor of their industry offering a prescriptions to peoples ailments. And it was then that I started to develop what a framework called "The LEFT-by-RIGHT Sales Presentation" This very framework is used on a subconscious level by same of the best, world renown sales experts and consultants from around the world! I would be sharing with you how you can use this framework to sell literally any product or service in any niche, industry, sector or vertical.

Sales Executive Banned ? ???? Today was one of those days! As a Sales Executive, I’m always visiting new companies. But when I entered a commercial building today, I noticed something unusual. Every office door had a sign saying, "Sales Executives Not Allowed." Now, I’m standing there, scratching my head, thinking, "If Sales Executives aren’t allowed, how do their own sales teams get into the office?" ??♂?
