Exciting times for the students in Maypearl, Texas. Two schools are set for major upgrades thanks to last year's $35 million bond approval. The Maypearl ISD Middle and High Schools enhancements will bring new classrooms, science labs, storm shelters, cafetoriums, and much more—creating essential spaces for local students. However, these upgrades sit atop expansive soils, which pose a challenge for long-term foundational stability. That's where VoidForm comes into play. Working with Miller Sierra Contractors, Inc., the concrete contractor on the project, VoidForm will provide foundational protection using our SlabVoid? and SureRetainer? systems. We are also collaborating with 3D Mechanical, the plumbing contractor, to safeguard the new HVAC systems from soil swell-related damage with our PlumbingVoid? utility isolation system. Architectural Design Standards for Governmental Veterinary Laboratories #9 *Future Needs Consideration The security requirements of the Laboratory are of the utmost importance, not only in the construction but also in the operation of the facility. The harmful effect of potential misuse of microorganisms, disease vectors, and toxic biological materials in acts of biological warfare on the public has given rise to the concept of wise use of dangerous pathogens, adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO) with Annexes on DNA synthesis and the regulation of dual-use research of concern. Public health laboratories are responsible for ensuring that dangerous pathogens of public health importance are stored, handled, and used in a safe and secure manner. Sufficient space to allow the isolation of special areas or zones to accommodate select agents and to prevent the uncontrolled accidental exposure of highly pathogenic disease agents used in bio-defense studies, and for the storage and handling of hazardous biological agents used in research on disease monitoring, must be built into architectural and engineering designs. Furthermore, these zones must meet the government minimum standards to ensure the safe operation of the facility. Consideration should be given to the future needs and uses to which the building may be put, and care should be taken to incorporate special structural and mechanical features that may be required in the future even if they are not essential to the present operation. This will entail the adding of 'futures boxes' wherever appropriate, to accommodate additional ducts, conduits, and other facilities for future expansion or modification. The design should be done in such a manner that future expansion of the facility will not involve an undue amount of additional demolition and new building.

Mobile scaffolds are mounted on casters or wheels that allow easy movement of the scaffold from one point to another. ?? Tube and Clamp scaffold; as the name suggests, it is made of steel tubes and? clamps. It is the basic type of? scaffolding. ?? System scaffolds are made of prefabricated or engineered components, such as brackets, boards, and frames. ??Trestle scaffolds are used for interior works and low-height tasks. Hello friends family and acquaintances today is NATIONAL TAPE MEASURE DAY | July 14! On July 14, measuring twice means something extra on National Tape Measure Day. Measure our facts after we share a quick history about the tape measure and explain why it is a standard tool in almost every household. Alvin J. Fellows of New Haven, Connecticut made the lives of carpenters, electricians, seamstresses, and countless other tradesmen and craftsmen easier. On July 14, 1868, Fellows was granted a patent for "Improvements in Tape Measures" that created a whole new era for measurement. Enter the generation of retractable tape measures. The first recorded use of the tape measure goes back to the Romans, utilizing marked strips of leather. Before Fellows' patent, Englishman James Chesterman designed a steel measuring tape, but it was expensive for its time. At $17 in 1853, it was equivalent to $300 in today's U.S. dollars. Chesterman's big, bulky design didn't fit in a pocket or even a toolbox. When Fellows' patent came along, tape measures became the sliced bread of the toolbox. The tape measure we know and use now comes in a wide array of sizes, colors, and materials. You can find some smaller than the palm of your hand or bigger in lengths of 300+ feet.
