For example, a roof beam is supposed to carry the roof. It is loaded only in the vertical plane by self-weight and other permanent loads, wind, and possibly snow. But that's not all. The structural engineer should consider the entire life cycle, i.e., transport or assembly. This is often forgotten, but when we hang the beam on the crane, it is subjected to a completely different load than in the final stage. Inclined ropes, as in case A, create a large axial force in the beam, which can cause lateral bending moments due to manufacturing imperfections or tilting of the beam.
