Fundraising can be a tough "thing" but it really doesn't have to be. When I first joined MakingChange, Inc as the Executive Director, my first mission was to find out where funding was coming from and how we could diversify those funding streams. Relationship building and my experience in this arena helped prepare me for that process. The Board of Directors spent some time today learning about how to "Take the Fear Out of Fundraising" and there was no better experienced professional to bring this information other than Kim Patton with Association of Community Services. If your organization is interested in this type of capacity building, I strongly recommend setting up a training.
