How do we do it? Firemakers offers retreats, celebrations, festivals, gatherings, men's circles and more. All of these events are organised professionally and offer profound experiences and deep healing to all participants. And we do it for a price you wouldn't believe possible. How do we do it? First of all you need to understand that Firemakers is a foundation without any aim for profit or personal financial gain. None of our events and activities are offered because we have to make a living out of it. That is not who we are. Who are we then? Firemakers consists of a group of professionals who offer their talent and wisdom as an act of selfless service. A service to the community: for by supporting men in their growth we help the world to better fathers, better sons, better partners and better leaders. Therefore we are able to offer you our events at cost price or less, or even for free. A weekend gathering for only €88 seems impossible, a three-and-a-half day festival for €135 out of this world. As a foundation we also receive donations. With these donations we are able to set up more activities, buy tickets for men who are financial less fortunate, and pay for teachers with expertise beyond our team. This way we can provide the abundance we have brought for so many years and ensure we can bring it for even more years to come. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask. Why do so many charities focus their legacy communications on making a Will when the best prospects: Have a Will. Why do so many prospects ask “what difference will my legacy gift make?” Because so few charities express their long term vision. Is it patronising to presume best prospects (aged over 50 with something meaningful to leave) are idiots without a Will? Yes Is the call to action clear to your best prospects? And before you say it, the call to action is not a tediously long legscy brochure. If they are enquiring they are interested and want to know impact and call to action. Are you a good listener? Effective fundraisers need to be. Listening helps you learn about a donor’s (or a prospective donor’s) history with your institution, their personal passions, and their philanthropic motivations. Strong listening skills can also build rapport with donors and increase your credibility during meetings, by demonstrating that you are engaged with the conversation. When you listen well, you’ll be better able to align a prospect’s individual interests with your institution’s specific needs and priorities.
