Supervisor - Neurophysiology, EEG-EMU at Mayo Clinic

As we continue my 11 days of gratitude, today I’m reflecting on the essential but often unseen role we play in patient care. That’s?Reason #9: Day 9: Making a Difference Behind the Scenes While neurodiagnostics may not always be in the spotlight, the impact we make is undeniable. Much of the work we do is behind the scenes, but it is critical to the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of patients. The EEGs we perform provide vital insights that help guide physicians in their decision-making. Whether we’re identifying seizure activity, monitoring brain function, or providing real-time data, our contributions are the foundation on which clinical teams make informed, life-changing decisions. I’m proud of the fact that we make a difference—even when we’re not the ones taking center stage. Knowing that our work is pivotal to patients’ outcomes gives me a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose every day. How have you seen behind-the-scenes work have a big impact in your field? Share your thoughts or stories in the comments—I’d love to hear them! #Gratitude #Neurodiagnostics #EEG #BehindTheScenes #PatientCare #Impact #EpilepsyCare #Leadership #Thanksgiving #Epilepsy #MayoClinic #ABRET #ASET
