If only in the interest of self preservation, data center companies should start asking tough questions about how this power demand is going to be met, if it can even be met, and how much it will cost (because someone has to pay for it). And maybe invest in alternative solutions, because business as usual is going to result in a less reliable, more expensive, and highly polluting power grid for all of us. You should not use #LocalStorage or #SessionStorage to store any type of data! I have seen many people using them to store large amount of #data even some #sensitive data (which is literally bad). The reason why shouldn't store data in these storages is because they are #synchronous, They will occupy your main thread. If you really care about performance, you should stop using these.
