Sunak has ditched his pledge to ban conversion therapy in the UK. While backlash from advocacy organisations ensued, one key early opponent of conversion therapy has already begun working to legitimise “exploratory therapy,” which many say is simply conversion therapy - rebranded. This statistic also highlights the significant mental health risks associated with gambling among transgender populations. ?? We are supporting Pride Month at RSS Imperial & Partners Hub. Research shows that health and social care disparities relating to sexual orientation and gender identity impact on multiple outcomes. Structural stigma contributes towards poor health for those with LGBTQ+ identities. There is more work to be done: both to understand and offer remedy for these inequities. Within our Hub we are dedicated to supporting innovation in research, especially projects that include more voices, and focus on addressing these kinds of health inequalities. It's still trying to leverage trust and resources and time and priorities with communities and individuals who are most impacted by the crime and may be in the root causes and experiences that we don't see. The response is pretty white.” One of the main findings of The Colorado Project 2023 was a need for better representation in anti-trafficking partnerships. 60% of research participants said they want to diversify their task forces and coalitions. In order to be more effective, partnerships must prioritize survivors and organizations supporting underrepresented groups, including immigrants, tribal communities, sex workers, youth, and LGBTQ+.
