Yesterday, Lyten had the honor of hosting a visit from a bipartisan Congressional Delegation of over 30 members and staff of the House Armed Services Committee (#HASC). Our CEO, Dan Cook, Chief Battery Technology Officer, Celina Mikolajczak, President of Lyten Federal LtGen(Ret) Eric Fick, and Chief Sustainability Officer, Keith Norman guided the delegation through our Lithium-Sulfur and 3D Graphene manufacturing facilities, showcasing our high-performance battery technology.
The delegation engaged in a productive dialogue on how the U.S. can maintain energy independence without relying on foreign-dominated supply chains. This is precisely where Lyten's Lithium-Sulfur battery technology stands out, using sulfur, lithium, and 3D graphene as the main ingredients in our batteries.
U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (R-AL), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee,?and other members expressed strong interest in how Lyten's innovative approach can leverage standard battery-making equipment with only minor modifications, enabling the production of batteries domestically—without relying on Nickel, Manganese, Cobalt (NMC), graphite, or materials sourced globally, primarily from China.
Chairman Rogers delivered these remarks earlier in the day about why they came to #SiliconValley: (full press release: https://lnkd.in/g_E7DhaV)
“We chose to come to Silicon Valley to hear directly from America’s leading innovators about solutions to a problem that has vexed the Department of Defense for decades.?Make no mistake - these [other countries] capabilities are being developed specifically to defeat our military. We cannot let that happen. We can’t let China or any adversary outpace us on innovation. Fortunately, the United States has something our adversaries do not – a robust innovation ecosystem.?There is no shortage of innovative Americans, especially here in Silicon Valley, with the ideas and know-how to keep us ahead of our adversaries.?We must take better advantage of this.”
Lyten is honored to have been chosen as a stop on the House Armed Services Committee’s recent visit to California and to demonstrate how we are leading the way in advancing U.S. energy independence with innovative technologies.
We extend our gratitude to the HASC members for including Lyten in their visit:
