Today, we remember the tragedy of 9/11 and honor the lives lost in the attacks. It was a day that forever changed the course of history, reminding us of the resilience and unity that can emerge from the darkest moments. Let’s take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many, and the importance of coming together as a community to support one another. Never forget. #LUXIT #911 #NeverForget

?????? ???? ????????????????: ???? ???????? ?????? ?????? ???????????? ?? My son (11) and I were sitting at the top of our stairs reflecting on our day. He asked me if I’d ever seen a cartoon called Mr Benn. As it happens it had been my absolute favorite as a kid. While my friends were dreaming of becoming doctors, lawyers, and ballerinas, I just wanted to be Mr. Benn. He went on to tell me about the episode he’d seen (Mr Benn and the Dragon - full version below). In it, Mr. Benn—ever the unexpected hero—dons a knight’s armor and sets off to defeat a "dangerous" dragon. But instead of fighting, Mr. Benn discovers that the dragon isn’t threatening—just lonely. Turns out someone new came along, took over the dragon’s job (lighting fires, obs), and spread untrue stories about him, leaving the dragon isolated and misunderstood. Mr. Benn then helps the townsfolk see past their fears and find a way to live in harmony with the dragon. It struck me that Mr Benn and the Dragon is diplomacy in a nutshell. People often jump to conclusions based on assumptions, biases, or outdated narratives, and tensions rise. But the diplomatic approach, like Mr. Benn’s, is to listen, observe, and understand what lies beneath the surface. And then interpret it. So often, our biggest “dragons” in the workplace or in life are just misunderstood people or issues that need connection, not conflict. This is why I started How to Diplomat. All of us have the power to shift from fear to curiosity, from judgment to empathy. But we’re often so busy seeing the world through our own narrow lens that we forget to pause, ask questions, and seek first to understand before jumping to conclusions. When we do, we find solutions that outlast quick wins and create true connections. Maybe Mr. Benn was the original diplomat? Are you ready to face the "dragons" in your life and understand what they’re really about? #HowToDiplomat #EmpathyInAction #DiplomaticLessons

Im unplugging for about a week from all machines Dont fret if I do not respond Spending Remembrance Day @ the Cabra Gallery cooking a Middle Eastern inspired feast for 12 in solidarity. Also opening of new art show and Performance Art and Lecture on the theme The Art of War. Suggestions for peacenicks like Trump and Tulsi Gabbard (the strongest proponents of peace are vets) 1) Immediate cesefire Release minors jailed in Israel Release all hostages Use Elons Boring co to install geophones and detect location of precise tunnels. Use smoke bombs/tear gas/stink bombs/other non lethal means like hi frequency sounds to bring them all out. Immediate ceasefire.UN troops on both sides at all borders. Two state solution. Art of the dealbetter than the Art of War Fighting for Peace is like Fucking for Virginity. Dialogue is diplomacy Sit down with RFK Tulsi Trump and cut a deal at the WH with Israel and the others. Bring back Abraham accords All will be well No money for War only for rebuilding and aid and development of some kind of basic economy over there Peace and Prosperity walk hand in hand guided by Justice Wisdom and a practical way of easily esolving complex problems.

Recently, Yifat, Shiri Bibas' cousin, delivered a powerful plea on television. Her voice conveyed the growing desperation felt by families of the abducted, who fear their loved ones are being forgotten. As an Israeli, who chose to live in New York, I feel the weight of their hope now rests on our shoulders. Last night, I attended an event where 500 drones illuminated the New York sky with a message that echoed in our hearts: Bring them home NOW! The resilience of the speakers, especially Moran Stella Yanai and the families who shared their stories, was truly inspiring. They are testaments to the enduring power of the human spirit. This event happened thanks to the collective strength of collaboration of people I am proud to know - Sharon Eyny ,Ariel Margalith, Inbar Haham, Prof. Ori Rogowski, Ze'ev Yanay, Guy Franklin ,Tal Shuster, and everyone who made this event possible. @Julia Haart's words resonated deeply: "What if we are only talking to ourselves? What if the world isn't listening? What if we only have each other? So, I say, If we only have each other – we are enough! I know that we are going to bring the hostages home, because every person in this room is committed to doing so! If we unite, even if the entire world is against us, we can bring them home, because we united defeat hate”. We are enough. Together, we will be a beacon of hope that cannot be extinguished. The darkness may surround us, but it will not deter our fight. We will not rest until all of them are home. #BringThemHome #Solidarity #Hope #istandwithisrael BringThemHome

Once upon a time, in the mystic and fog-shrouded harbor of what we’ll call “Bostontopia,” two mighty titans found themselves in a showdown that only the salty sea air of New England could host. On one side, the rugged, battle-worn Longshoremen's Association, draped in their blue-collar capes; on the other, the formidable United States Maritime Alliance, glaring back with pockets deeper than Poseidon's. They were like mismatched knights jousting at midnight — a clash so epically stubborn, it made the weather seem predictable. The Longshoremen went on strike at the stroke of twelve, as if reenacting some sort of dramatic port theatre. Picture them standing ardently at the Conley Terminal, banners held high like a chorus line of grumbly sailors. Rumor says some of them even marched in that peculiar yankee swagger, possibly imagining themselves leading a sweaty tango against a backdrop of towering cranes and containers. But what's this confrontation really about? Imagine it as a dance off in the devil's ballroom, where partners are reluctant yet the band just won't stop playing. Folks are firmly resistant to yield any elegance or footwork to their rivals. It's a clash not just of wallets but of wills. And what can we foresee happening among these stormy waters? No crystal ball needed here, just look at the horizon — where storms and peacemaking overtures are bound to lock in a nagging waltz. The world may be watching for that white flag of a handshake waving serenely in the distant future. Here lies the burnt wick of a fundamental truth: Mallory estimates that although rocking the boat can seem terrifying, without the breakwater, new changes would fail to dock. Is it a striking impasse or a necessary evolution of tradition tugged into a new era? Reflect and beware, each tide neither kinder nor harsher than the next, just heedless in its appointed course. - Like a captain seeing the storm shelter nearest the shore, sometimes digging our heels in the sands is a brave pause — to plot the safest charter forward. - Remember, courageous hearts are sometimes disguised in heavy work boots. In Bostontopia , where strikers write the next chapter in the age-old play of labor vs. management, we’re all spectators to history graced with fervor and guts — passion filled ink diluting the icy brew of routine cargo. So here's to future reunions and settlements at high seas or tall docks, to the fearless making their stand bending not breaking to prosperous tugs on eroded cycle chains. https://lnkd.in/emdgfXDV #LongshoremenStrike #MaritimeShowdown #WorkplaceDrama #LaborLegacy #UnionPower #SeasOfChange
