The Catering Hokey Pokey. If you’ve done this for a while, you know what it is. It’s when leaders put resources into catering, then when it doesn’t fix it right away, they take them out. Then six months later when sales are tough, they put them in again, and then shake them all about. Then the team does the Hokey Pokey Everyone gets dizzy. Nothing big happens. Back where you started. When you run in circles you never move forward. Thats what it’s all about :( Consistent Activites over Time. That is the answer. Or just put everything into the marketplace basket. But the erratic dance between the two just hurts you in the marketplace, and doesn’t give you enough resources to build your own relationships. Commit to one. Commit to both. But some type of commitment is key. Otherwise you have frustrated leadership, frustrated managers, frustrated catering managers (if you have them) and frustrated customers. Not a great recipe.
