Today, we are honored to dedicate a mortgage-free, specially adapted smart home to U.S. Army Ranger Joshua Hargis. In his late teens, Joshua set out to rise above his circumstances and become the best version of himself through service in the U.S. Army, ultimately joining the elite 75th Ranger Regiment as a K9 Handler. During his last deployment in Afghanistan, Joshua sustained life-altering injuries, losing both legs while attempting to aid his fellow Rangers in a minefield. Despite the immense challenges, Joshua’s resilience and dedication to his family have remained unwavering. Now, he, his wife Taylor, and their children will have a home that allows Joshua to live independently, be more self-sufficient, and fully engage in the family life they’ve built together. This home is a testament to Joshua’s incredible courage, selflessness, and the enduring strength of his family, and it’s our privilege to support them as they begin this new chapter. Said Josh, " This is a huge part of my life and freedom that I will get back. And I'll be able to give back to my family because of you." A special thank you to the American people and our amazing partners, without whom this would not be possible: Sunbelt Rentals, Inc., Owens Corning, Kaishan Compressor USA, and LP Building Solutions. We also want to thank the following partners for dedicating their time, energy, generosity, and resources to the construction of Josh's home: The Marcus Foundation, Inc., The Home Depot Foundation, Shubert Design Furniture, Veterans United Foundation, Amazon, Huber Engineered Woods, U.S. LBM, American Tire Distribution, Schultz Roth + Zabel, Nucor, CMC, Nice, Simple Green, Duke Cannon Supply Co., Cabinetworks Group, Installed Building Products, Winston & Strain LLP, Benjamin Moore Paints, North American Moving Services, Encore Wire, Builders First Source, Rheem, Daltile, Brown NuTone, Mapei, Nucor Rebar Fabrication, Natural Stone Institute, National Wood Flooring Association, Nemra, and Vintage Homes & Design.
Much gratitude goes out to U. S. Army Ranger Joshua Hargis. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. I hope that you enjoy your new home for many years to come. I am happy for you that you and your family are receiving this home and that this will help you to be more independent.
Thank you Josh and your beautiful family for your sacrifice. God Bless you, your family and the people who supported this new home for your family. God Bless our home ??
Thanks to God you were chosen to play Lt. Dan. Lesser men would have taken their pay and walked away never to look back. Mr. Sinese is not that that kind of man. Josh, a hero to country and family. Enjoy.
Love that the Gary Sinise Foundation was able to give him some freedom back. That’s the least we should do for the tremendous sacrifice he made for our country!
Congratulations! But the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is failing at its Mission Statement. None of this should be needed. I applaud Mr Sinise and his TEAM for picking up the slack!
The Invictus poem says it all. God bless this family, Josh’s sacrifice, Gary’s foundation, and America. ????????
I’m proud to work for a company that supports our veterans (The Home Depot)!
