?? "Shoot for the stars; even if you fail, you'll land on the moon." ?? This is a mantra I carry with me wherever I go and whatever I do. ?? One regular working night, my manager brought me a shocking news. She told me that I would be receiving an award at one of the company's biggest, most glamorous rewards and recognition events, held annually. (I mean, it's normal to be a bit shocked, right???) Fast forward to the big night—there I was, on stage, receiving the "Top Performers" award ?? . I felt proud to be one of the few recognized in my function. But wait, there's more! I was stunned—frozen for about five seconds, as if time itself had stopped—when the host announced my name again, this time for the "Best Associate" award. ?? To me, this was like the "best of the best," the equivalent of a pageant crown in a lineup of top 10 finalists. (I’ll admit, I had my own "crowned moment" there. ??) Looking back now, I realize these awards are just milestones, not the end goal. They’ve brought me three invaluable takeaways: ? I've learned critical skills to help the team reduce their "more" to "less." ? I've mastered the fundamentals of designing processes that actually work. ? I've learned how to execute and align my projects, initiatives, and ideas with company values and strategic goals. So yes—always shoot for the stars! ? P.S. Now, I want to give back in a meaningful way. I’m looking to pass the baton to a few exceptional individuals ready to make a change. I’ll only be working with a select few – this is about quality over quantity. Stay tuned – details to come for those ready to take on this journey.

When was the last time you took a moment to pause and reflect on your recent wins? We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle, constantly striving for what’s next. Spending time wishing for things we don’t have. And, when we finally achieve them, we don’t take a moment to celebrate. Today - we change that. This is an invitation — to pause and reflect on your recent wins both BIG and small. What achievements have you made? How are they contributing to your journey? Take a moment to add it to your calendar ??? on Monday morning so you start your week with an inspiring reminder of how far you’ve come. And why stop there? Consider adding a recurring 10-minute reflection block every Friday. A simple system to help you end each week on a high note. As inspiration, here are a few things that my clients celebrated in September: ?? an entrepreneur surpassed year end revenue goals 3 months early (since regularly taking Friday afternoons off) ?? a VP who wanted to increase her leadership influence beyond her role and company was appointed to a prominent external committee ?? a founder & CEO booked his first 2 week vacation in 5 years ?? an SVP transitioned into an EVP role and now, 6 months later, has exceeded their targets, while significantly increasing the team’s engagement and retention scores What are you celebrating this week?

Throwback to our first awards' night together ? Why ????????? It's simply about encouraging everyone to be a ???????? to the environment. It's easy to feel that your current job environment isn't giving you enough. It's healthier to consider what more you can give to the environment. Recently, a candidate asked me what it takes to be on the PLUS team. I replied, 'I'll take you under three conditions that you must agree to.' These conditions are ???????????? to each candidate. 1. For the amount of grievances you have now, I hope you'll maintain the same level of gratitude when you succeed. 2. Allow me to remind you each time defensiveness surfaces, just for a year. Allowing me to remind you means you actually recognize and accept it. 3. Complete your homework. Guess which one he said was the hardest? What would be the hardest for you? Are you able to tell which values I am focusing on? Spoke with 4 different high-performers (P-Club, 2-4 years at the company types) in the past ~week who are moving on from their role (each at different companies). They're not leaving because of a: - new boss - change to comp plan - unexpected changes to their job - hard place to work - dream opportunity elsewhere Each said some combination of these two things: 1. Lack of clarity for how their role makes an impact (either at the company or beyond it) 2. "I didn't feel valued til it was too late" Want to keep your top performers? Give them a vision, make them feel valued.

When was the last time your employer thanked you for your hard work? Davy Shanko and I were asked to join JK Moving Services' & CapRelo's executive team meeting today. When we arrived?Chuck Kuhn let us know that they simply wanted to thank us for the difference our work is making for the organization. Wow. Can we talk about how good that feels and how important it is? When employees are recognized?it: ? Boosts morale. (I'm flying high this morning.) ? Creates an environment where employees feel valued and respected. (Is there anything more important?) ? Increases productivity! (I'm ready to create more amazing content!) ? ? To-do: Live in the moment. ? Don’t do: Jump to the next thing. ?? There’s a time and a place for forward-thinking. As humans, we’re geared to answer “What’s next?” But instantly setting your eyes on the horizon to find the next best thing doesn’t belong when you’ve just had a win.? Pause. Relish it.? I know even in my business, whether I’ve had a successful campaign or client workshop, I tend to go into future-proof mode and think about what’s next on my plate without enjoying and digesting the last, delicious meal I just ate.? I know being present in our careers and celebrating wins is easier said than done. You might not want to celebrate in fear that failure lies around the next corner. Or maybe you’re eager to replicate your success.? But by pausing and celebrating your wins as they come, you can: - Uncover what made the win successful and reapply it in new opportunities.? - Overcome failures more easily by remembering everything you’ve accomplished and exactly what you’re capable of.??
