We want to thank Generosity: Bay Area for giving Love Never Fails board members, Tiffany Grant King, and long-time volunteer and leader of our I AM Fit program, Briana Carli, the opportunity to share why they support our important work. It was an honor to have our mission promoted alongside incredible leaders from Checkr, Inc., and partner agencies like Starfish, International Justice Mission, and others equally committed to making a difference. Together, we can continue to create a safe and supportive environment for survivors of human trafficking. To learn more about the generous movement and the incredible work they’re doing in the Bay Area, visit generositybayarea.org/ If you’d like to support our efforts to provide safety and restoration for survivors, please consider contributing to our LNF Strong campaign here to help us fund the I AM Healing House, a short-term emergency safe house for survivors: https://paybee.io/@lnf@52 Thank you for your continued support! #Generosity #Collaboration #Community #EndHumanTrafficking #LoveNeverFails #IAmFit #StrongerTogether #SupportSurvivors

Take action ?? email your representatives today! Join us in requesting a federal funding expansion for shelters and safe haven programs for women and children. By clicking this link–– https://lnkd.in/gkKQAPxe ––you can quickly send a message to your members of Congress on behalf of the more than 1.2 million women and 2.5 million children experiencing homelessness in the United States every year. WLP's Executive Director, Jennifer Hanlon Wigon, is a member of the Board of Directors for the National Women's Shelter Network, which has submitted a request for a $55,000,000 increase to Emergency Solution Grants. This funding has a 15% set aside of Formula Grant funds to be directed to women’s and children’s shelter and safe haven programs in the Fiscal Year 2025 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (T-HUD) Appropriations Bill. Women and children often encounter traumatic life events prior to experiencing homelessness and require high-special-need services to address the impacts of gender-based violence and trauma. Frontline organizations are facing significant challenges in responding to growing homelessness rates. Additional funding is crucial for basic operations, human services, and enriched supportive services that facilitate successful transitions to long-term stable housing. Collectively, we hold the power to save and change the lives of countless women and children across the nation.

The 'Social foundation of Democratic Right' as a freedom's right to Say No to Crime The vicarious costs of sundering and upending others peace of mind is a terrible theft of that freedom's right in a young person's life. Human rights have been set out in numerous documents - eg Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). Apart from prohibitions in law, the theft of others freedom is also corrosive on multiple businesses. Too much experience of GPs/A&Es and Rehabs can be an alienating experience; loss of trust in a decent society, despite the best efforts to protect and care. Below is a good story. Well done
I am delighted to announce the allocation of just over €3 million worth of funding to 33 projects through the Community Safety Fund, allowing the proceeds of crime, seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) and An Garda Síochána, to be directed into local community safety projects. An Garda Síochána and CAB have had continued success in disrupting the activities of criminals by seizing their ill-gotten gains. Putting this money back into the community is a real way to show that the efforts of law enforcement can directly contribute to making people feel safer. Congratulations to all of the successful projects and thank you for helping us to build stronger, safer communities. Department of Justice ?? - https://lnkd.in/eeyUT4PU

Today is Are You Safe at Home? Day. ? If I've learnt anything over the near two years of working in the family violence sector, amidst the nuances of working to create a world where everyone is safe, it's that family violence is preventable. ? And we can all do something (however small) to help. You can do something to help. ? You can make a (sometimes truly big) difference by learning how to recognise the signs of family violence and how to safely ask people you know if they are safe in their relationships or at home. ? Statistics of family violence in Australia are horrific (and we don’t even know the true numbers). So unfortunately yes, it is happening in your community. ? The Are You Safe at Home? website full of clear, easy to follow resources and tips on how to learn more about noticing signs of abuse and having these conversations. ? It’s a simple thing you can add to your personal and professional tool kit that can make a really significant difference to someone’s life. ? I invite you to check it out. ? areyousafeathome.org.au
