Recently I have been partnering with a large business in the medical devices space to fine tune their hiring process and looked to revamp this in order to attract the best talent & assess appropriate fit based on the business' values. We’ve observed a crucial but often overlooked aspect of the hiring process in the medical devices sector: many companies simply don't invest enough effort into it. Getting the hiring process right is essential to business success. There are four fundamental elements that determine your outcomes: Building an Exceptional Team Fostering a Culture of Excellence Defining a Purposeful Mission Crafting a Strategy to Fulfill That Mission Consider this: a poor hire can cost you approximately 18 months—6 months to find the right candidate, 6 months to realise they’re not a fit, and another 6 months to find a replacement. Investing extra time in hiring to ensure a good fit is not just advisable; it’s essential. TGIF! How's your week? [ #Reflection & #Hiring] This week is short but there was so much learning and reflection: ???? Had an incredibly inspiring conversation with a Med Tech senior leader. I see passion in his eyes as he speaks and I am so encouraged by how he is bringing the industry, professional association and charity all together to make impactful campaigns on #patienteducation. "You cannot think of what you don't know" he said. In order to equip people with tools and solution for healthcare, you need to expose them to the education and ideas. ???? Had a 2 hour conversation with a COO of a biotech company, discussed about market landscape and opportunities. Brainstormed their hiring strategy as they set their foot print into Asia. What's more exciting (if you are as geek as me), the cutting edge technology on #preventionhealth is mind-blowing, and truly ground breaking. *will share more in due time!* ?? Caught up with a placed candidate and hear how the opportunity had led her to where she wants to be now. It's not all roses, but she thinks it's providing her the growth she needed and is so very appreciative of that.
