The 6th Generation designation does not necessarily mean that this is the case operationally. The second prototype of the Kaan 5th Generation Combat Aircraft has been unveiled! ???? Developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries, Kaan is a next-generation stealth fighter equipped with cutting-edge features like supercruise capability, internal weapon bays, and advanced radar-absorbing materials. Its design ensures superior maneuverability, high-speed performance (Mach 1.8), and an operational range exceeding 2,000 kilometers.

CHINA PRESENTS ITS NEW 5TH GENERATION FIGHTER Even though it was presented just a couple of weeks ago in the Zhuhai Airshow, some of the attendees said it looked somehow familiar...?? Jokes aside, the J-35A is a proof of the advanced technology in chinese aviation, which have experience an incredible development in the last years. Apart from a second engine and a slimer silhouette is hard to spot a difference between the Chinese Fighter and the American counterpart, the F-35. These characteristics might suggest an improvement in maneuverability while sacrificing some of the stealth capacity. But, is it that easy to copy one of the most complex machines on earth? Absolutely not. The main strengths of the F-36 are its stealth capacities, not only due to the shape but also due to the use of advanced materials and coatings; as well as its electronics, since it's often referred as a flying computer. For the moment, we have no information about the performance or commercialization of the J-35A; so we will need to wait for an informed comparison between the two beasts. Russia's Saturn AL-51F1 (Izdeliye 30) afterburning low-bypass turbofan engine developed by NPO Saturn, to be displayed at China's Zhuhai Airshow 2024. As Advertised: — It's been designed to enhance the performance of advanced Russian fighter aircraft, particularly the Sukhoi Su-57M and the emerging Sukhoi Su-75 Checkmate. — The AL-51F1 engine produces approximately 11,000 kg of thrust in dry mode and can reach up to 18,000 kg with afterburners. — This allows the Su-57M to achieve a cruising speed of Mach 2 without engaging afterburners, which is crucial for maintaining stealth during operations. — One of the standout (as claimed) features of the AL-51F1 is its design, which significantly reduces the aircraft's infrared signature.
