Have you ever had an idea, suggestion, feedback, or comment about a product and wanted to send it to the manufacturer? It's not easy. I have some suggestions for my industry, the auto industry, and I’d like to share them with you all and see if they get seen by the?folks who can make things happen. Probably the safest feature we could add to all cars would be Heads Up Displays as standard. Many of the EVs I have driven have much of the screen obscured by the steering wheel, particularly speed and SOC, so that no matter how you adjust the wheel or the seat it’s difficult to see the important information. One shouldn't have to adjust a comfortable seating position to accommodate the screen. How about the driver being able to truly customize the screen by adding the drag and drop feature that we see on iPhones. Screens could be placed on both sides of the steering wheel so they can be touched while keeping hands on or close to the wheel, instead of reaching halfway across the car and taking eyes off the road for 3 or 4 seconds. Also, screens could be built to tilt, telescope and rotate to the driver's convenience. Build in an adjustable phone holder mounted within the dashboard/screen area. Right now, it doesn’t matter how expensive the car is, one still needs to buy a stick-on/clip-on holder. Screens look awful with greasy fingerprints and dust smeared over them, plus they can be too reflective. How about matt screens. The same applies to piano black surrounds. Rather than flashing lights outside the car to indicate SOC, a small LED display that shows an actual percentage and perhaps time left to charge feature would be handy. Move all switches away from the left knee area and add them above the driver’s side air vents. I realize that some of these suggestions may already be in some vehicles, but perhaps not, so please feel free to set me straight, let me know your thoughts, or if you have other suggestions, please share them.

FAQs, why are they selling? People sell cars for different reasons, the majority sell for upgrading reasons. As is with modern-day gadgets and equipment, technological advancements have become a norm because of the ever-changing consumer needs and the inevitable changes in our environment. Unlike phones that get upgrades yearly, cars get upgraded every 5 years i.e for most German cars with a 2.5-year facelift interval. I will handle in my next session (Possibly a video) what a full upgrade and a facelift entail.
