I grew up here in the Bethesda area. I went to school for computer science and then moved up to Boston about 15 years ago. There we bootstrapped and started a software company to help streamline operations for Cancer Research hospitals. After that, we were fortunate to run that for about 10 years, and we sold that about seven years ago to high tech company out West. After the exit, what we found was that there were fewer places to go to get unbiased advice. When we were fortunate to go through and experience like we did and how to manage your wealth, we were talking to our friends, we talked to our peers, we talked to some professionals, but we were never really sure when we were being solicited some sort of information. So my former partner and I said, let's kind of create a safe space for our friends to have these conversations in a safe environment of young peers trying to help each other with no solicitation. That turned into what is now called Long Angle, a global community. For young high net worth individuals trying to help each other, learn from each other, educate each other on a number of topics that affect us.
