This is why I never stretch before a workout, either myself or with any of my clients. 1. Stretching offers very little benefit to our muscular functionality. 2. The brain holds access to mobility & is probably not giving it to you for a reason. We address the nervous system 1st & look to down regulate if we want to access our true mobility. 3. Instead of stretching we choose dynamic stretching or mobility exercises that take joints throughout the full range of motion.
