Saturday I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer alongside the Arup team at the BLOOM farm in Concord, CA. It was an honor to lead a group of their staff in the co-created design and buildout of their new onsite composting system! ?? Bloom is an amazing nonprofit focused on workforce development for the multi sectional and underrepresented groups in the East Bay. ?? Their work is deeply inspiring and positively impactful! ?? Their urban farm is fruitful (literally) and ripe with potential! Bloom is founded by Michelle Darne and Elena Bondareva - some of the most badass superwomen leaders & changemakers I’ve ever met! Among many other accomplishments, she has led sustainability strategy for the world’s largest LEED Platinum and Living Building Challenge certified projects.
