Help us raise $100,000 for Hurricane Helene relief in Asheville, NC. . . Ecstatic that James McLean and James Hatfield invited me to be part of the inaugural Self Storage Conference. This is an incredible chance for owners/operators, especially newer, to hear from some of the most seasoned professionals in storage. They are not joining to tell you what to do, instead they are going to tell you exactly what THEY DO to be successful. PS I'm only along to be the Emcee, so don't worry that I know nothing about the operations side of things! You may be asking yourself at this point what this has to do with Hurrican Helene relief. Well here's the most amazing part of the whole event. James is a resident of Asheville, NC and was displaced by the hurricane. He was out saving lives during the worst part of the aftermath of Helene. I was on the phone with him a few days after the Hurricane and he was still in shock from what he had seen. I made a call to James and as a team we decided to donate 100% of all proceeds (read that again, this event is being done for $0 dollars so we can donate everything directly to victims of Hurricane Helene) to go to James' hometown. The event is an amazing bargain at only $50. But it's even more special that you are also donating to a worthy cause while getting to learn from some of the best minds in storage. Beau Agnello from Go Store It, John C. Lindsey of Lindsey Self Storage Group, Brett Copper of Copper Storage Management, Anne Mari DeCoster of Kingdom Storage Partners, just to name a few. "Your instinct is to hurry up and get the job done so you can make it to the surface before you run out of air and not get the bends. But when we rush through important tasks, that's when we make mistakes. When you're in a hurry, the best thing to do is slow down, be deliberate, and work with intention."
