Here are some common differences I've noticed when booking with a driver vs a dispatcher. Dispatcher: Often uses a scripted intro. Example: "Good morning sir, calling about your load from X to X. Can you share the details?" Driver: Direct and to the point. "Hey, calling about X to X." Dispatcher: May not immediately know the MC number, sometimes audibly searching for it. Driver: Knows their MC number instantly. Dispatcher: Negotiations can feel like a roller coaster, starting high and then dropping. Driver: More likely to quote rates close to their operating costs. These are just a few of the differences that I've noticed. I've dealt with some great dispatchers that stand out from the rest, but the majority of the ones that I speak to tend to move me to just want to book with drivers directly. #Freight #Logistics #Trucking #SupplyChain
