I don't know about you, but I watched The Wizard of Oz when I was a kid, and I remember Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Way Out There. And I think so often in our culture, we spend this time daydreaming and imagining other lives for ourselves or imagining ourselves in other people's lives, wondering what it must be like and thinking they've got it great. But the thing that I know after coaching and training over 15,000 people is that it's a choice to focus on your life versus trying to live all of these parallel lives simultaneously. There's this amazing Native American expression: you can spend your entire life in your own backyard and never truly know a blade of grass. And so many of us jump from thing to thing to thing to thing versus owning and focusing on the thing that we love... and going so deep that you see more and more layers of that thing. So you can choose to know something really well, or you can try to know a thousand things a little bit. While it's exciting and fun to learn a little bit about a lot, that's not the way to build a successful business because you've got to develop specialized knowledge. And the only way to do that is through focus... Instead of focusing on where the grass is greener, concentrate on this little patch of lawn you have right there in front of you. Happy World Entreprenurship Day! What we see on TV often highlights the glamorous side of entrepreneurship—the big wins, the lifestyle, the freedom. But the reality? It’s so much more. Being an entrepreneur often means missing trips with friends, skipping dinners with family, and sacrificing weekends to chase a vision. It's about putting in the hard work, facing setbacks, and staying committed even when the path isn't easy. Behind every success story is a lot of grit, late nights, and unwavering determination. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s worth every bit of sacrifice. Here’s to all the entrepreneurs who are grinding behind the scenes, turning dreams into reality. Your dedication is the real success story! #EntrepreneurDay #HardWorkPaysOff #SacrificeAndSuccess #EntrepreneurLife #Determination

“Is all this work even making a difference?” If you’re an entrepreneur, you’ve asked that question before. Sure, we want to make a living and pay the bills but entrepreneurship is too hard to only be about income. It’s about a desire to leave a lasting mark on the world, whether socially or spiritually. It’s just not always clear how our day-to-day operations actually contribute to any kind of impact. Ardent Mentoring (led by my buddies Ryan King and Steve Soars) is hosting "Measuring Social and Spiritual Impact: Three Simple Questions to Set Yourself Up for Success," on March 14 and it’s sure to be encouraging and insightful for any of us wrestling with the question of how we’re making an impact on the world as entrepreneurs. Sometimes, we need to build a new framework (or dust off an old one we’ve neglected) on what success looks like. You can register now: https://lnkd.in/gubyTitd

I recently was told: ‘You’re overqualified to make a sandwich.’ Yes, you read that right! While I won’t name names, it’s the kind of experience that really makes you stop and think, ‘What in the world?’ Here’s the kicker - that little moment of “over-qualification” was a reminder that the real work is not about fitting into boxes someone else builds but in building something yourself. I’m glad I pivoted when I did, diving headfirst into starting my own business. And let’s be honest—entrepreneurship isn’t exactly a walk in the park. But at least now, I’m making my own proverbial sandwich, stacking each layer with talent, resilience, and a dash of humor. To anyone facing those closed doors or labels that seem to limit more than liberate—remember, sometimes it’s those very moments that lead to the greatest pivots. Take your skills, your grit, and put them to work for yourself. Because when it comes down to it, there’s no such thing as overqualified for the life you build on your own terms. #Resilience #EntrepreneurLife #BuildingSomethingBetter #StartYourOwnJourney

Last week, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with an old friend—Boone, the therapy dog! Boone visited my office and made me feel fantastic for the rest of the day. We’ve known each other since my first tenure in Boynton Beach, where we used to play around the old City Hall’s 2nd floor. Rekindling with him has been a wonderful reminder of the importance of taking breaks. As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to get lost in the grind, staying laser-focused on growing your business. But here’s the thing—breaks are just as important as hustle. Taking time to decompress can fuel your inspiration, give you a fresh perspective, and help you refocus with renewed energy. So, if you’re on your entrepreneurial journey, remember to pause. Breathe. Observe your business from a different angle, because those moments of rest can spark the next big idea. Sometimes, all it takes is a furry friend like Boone to remind you that balance is key to long-term success. #Entrepreneurship #MentalHealth #TakeABreak #Inspiration #TherapyDog #Balance #palmbeach

As a dad and an entrepreneur, my default setting seems to be, “I’m fine” - even when my brain’s buzzing with tons of to-do lists and ideas. When I saw this meme it hit hard. In my brain there’s a mini-zoom happening 24/7 – worries about the next pitch, balancing the books, and sneaking in that quality time with the family. Burnout? Its not even an option. There’s always the drive to set the bar high, in business and as a dad. It’s about showing the hustle comes with true heart, and setbacks are just something to learn from. So Dadpreneurs what do you do to keep balanced? Brian Adamovich Jeffrey Mard #DadLife #Entrepreneurship #WorkLifeBalance #FamilyFirst

Ever heard about the incredible journey of the male Emperor Penguin? It's a remarkable story that holds valuable lessons for #entrepreneurs and #businessowners. Here's how: A male Emperor Penguin spends the brutal winter months incubating his precious egg on the tops of his feet for 64 days. He endures harsh conditions, without eating or moving, to protect the egg. If the chick hatches before the mother returns, the dad even feeds it with a special milk produced in his oesophagus. Throughout this period, he loses about 12kg. Isn't that immense dedication and sacrifice? The entrepreneur's journey is no different! It is characterized with: 1.Unwavering Commitment: Just like the male penguin, you need relentless dedication for your business’s survival. 2. Sacrifice for Success: The penguin sacrifices his own well-being to ensure the chick's survival. Similarly, as an entrepreneur, you forgo short-term comforts and make personal sacrifices to nurture your fledgling business. 3. Patience and Perseverance ??? The 64-day wait mirrors the often lengthy and challenging startup phase. Patience and perseverance are key because your business won't become a success overnight, but steadfast dedication will eventually pay off. 4. Adaptability and Resourcefulness ?? Feeding the chick with milk from his oesophagus shows the penguin’s resourcefulness. As an entrepreneur, you must be adaptable and find creative solutions to unexpected problems. 5. Support System: Emperor Penguins eventually reunite with their partners, sharing the load of raising their chick. As a business owner, you can also find your support systems – whether through a reliable team or a Virtual Assistant (VA) who can handle tasks, allowing you to focus on growth and strategy. Just like the resilient Emperor Penguin, you are a testament to the power of dedication and sacrifice. And remember, you don't have to do it all alone. As a VA, I’m here to help you manage the load and thrive. DM me we have a conversation on making your business journey a little less icy! #BusinessOwner #EntrepreneurLife #Dedication #Resilience #VirtualAssistant #SmallBusinessSupport #InspiredByNature

The Entrepreneurial Spirit, spooky right? I love Charles Schultz and his Peanuts characters.?So much so that I purchased one of his drawings.? So it wouldn’t surprise you that on “Hallowed Eve” (another story), it’s fun to sit and watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”. If you don’t know the story, Charlie Brown’s friend Linus sits in a pumpkin patch, waiting patiently for the arrival of the mythical Great Pumpkin. As you might expect, his friends question his sanity, encouraging him to come out with them, he passes on their request, because he believes. Linus is unwavering, his vision strong, and you could say, he's strongly committed to his quest. Sound familiar Entrepreneurs. We each have a vision of our "Great Pumpkin" –?we pursue our quest with heart and resilience, even when others can’t see it, let alone believe in it. Every setback, every doubter, only fuels our commitment. And yes, people might question our dedication, our dreams, or the path we've chosen.?But guess what, we press on. The journey might be lonely at times, and the results are never guaranteed, but with passion, patience, and purpose, we keep going. We are relentless in our pursuit! After all, just like Linus, we know our Great Pumpkin could appear when we least expect it. #Entrepreneurship #Believe #Greatpumpkin #Ruggedindividualist #offthebeatenpath Cartoon Credit: Charles Schultz

As an entrepreneur, it can be easy to feel like you have to keep hustling, keep moving, keep growing… Like what you have and what you’ve built isn’t enough. I say, it depends on what your priorities are. If you want wild, unimaginable wealth, scaling your business is probably top of mind. For me? My business lets me and Kyle Holden, ACC ?? work part-time so that most of our time is spent with our kids. It means I’m the one who puts our toddler down for her nap every day. It means I get to work on things that I love with people I love to work with, but that work doesn’t consume my life. And it has given us both 4.5 months of leave with our littlest as we navigate becoming a family of four. Our financial needs are met, but we’re far from astronomical wealth. And that’s okay with us. We’re rich in many other ways. #entrepreneur #entrepreneurship #workingparents #workingmom
