It's funny how your career sometimes takes you to places you never thought you'd find yourself. This time, it's at the Danish Embassy in Washington D.C. filming a masterclass on the topic of hearing loss and brain health. ???? This masterclass, and my talk, is built on the shoulders of giants in the field, and I'm excited to expand on some interesting research that explores the physiological changes occurring in the brain when hearing loss begins. ?? As with many aspects of health, we can't view any one area of the body in isolation if we want to promote a truly healthy life. The same goes for hearing. Our efforts must be informed, starting from the right questions so we can tackle the real issues. ???? If you're interested in the impact of hearing loss, join me on Tuesday the 12th of November, when we’ll make the entire masterclass available for everyone for free. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn more about this current topic and follow LISTEN TO THIS for the latest updates. ?? #BrainHealth #HearingHealth #DanishEmbassy #WashingtonDC #Masterclass #HearingLoss #HealthyLiving #PublicHealth #Research #HealthEducation #InnovationInHealth #StayInformed
?? Hear from Dr. Sigurd Brandt Dr. Sigurd Brandt brings his background as a medical doctor and experience in clinical research when he unpacks some of the latest research around the physiological changes that take place in individuals with a hearing loss. In the LISTEN TO THIS Masterclass, he shares research which may support the leading hypotheses on how hearing and brain health could be linked, the potential of hearing care, but also a word of caution on how study results might not always translate into your patient in front you. ??
