Is it just me, or is the term ‘high performance’ everywhere right now? Whether it’s speaking to my clients, seeing it on job ads or hearing about it in podcasts, it seems to be a hot topic. But…what does high performance mean?? ?? One Definition or Many? Does ‘high performance’ have one universal meaning? Or does it depend on a company’s mission, culture, and goals? ?? Living the Buzzword: How can we help people truly understand what high performance means in their day-to-day? Talking about it is one thing; seeing it in action is another. What does High Performance mean to you and your organisation?

I think a 'high performing' team would all be clear on their (small number of clearly defined) individual and team goals, and how they connect to wider company goals. And they'd be getting lots of feedback and everyday coaching conversations from their managers/peers to motivate them and keep them on track with issues flagged early.
