???? Ivan Vykopal, a dedicated member of our DisAI team, has spent a month researching at the prestigious Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) in Germany ?? ?? Ivan's journey began with the DisAI Replication Challenge, where he worked with Simon Ostermann at DFKI. This experience enriched his understanding of parameter-efficient fine-tuning of language models ?? Currently, as part of the DisAI Multilingual team, Ivan is working with Simon to improve the efficiency of fact-checkers using large language models. Their research aims to tackle the issue of spreading false information not only in English, but also in low-resource languages such as Slovak. ?? New publication! ?? : 'The AI Assessment Scale (AIAS) in action: A pilot implementation of GenAI-supported assessment' now released in the Australasian Journal of Educational Technology. This paper discusses the results of an implementation of the #AIAS in British University Vietnam, demonstrating a reduction in academic misconduct cases related to GenAI misuse, and an increased amount of engagement from students with this technology. We would love to see more papers relate to the implementation of the AIAS in other institutions around the world.
