AI advancements are waning due to diminishing returns from scaling models, resource constraints, and algorithmic plateaus as foundational architectures like transformers reach their limits. Data quality issues, privacy regulations, and rising energy costs further slow progress. Companies are prioritizing optimization over experimentation, while a talent bottleneck limits innovation. To reignite growth, focus must shift to new architectures, interdisciplinary research, and solving fundamental reasoning and contextual challenges.
For me delivering great work doesn't require you learning how to cook or something but you understanding your work - how to navigate, mastering your tool and knowing how fast you're with it Understanding yourself- know your strength What area do you know the most After knowing all this you can now tell how many days, time or hours it would take you to finish a work under normal condition and pressure With this you can strategize if you knew the deadline and still finish before then because your goal should be to finish before deadline #theinside
Anyone who concentrates on diversity instead of merits and performance is already losing the game. The gaming industry has shown this from companies lie Sweet Baby Inc. to games like Concord diversity should be a natural occurrence from hiring the best candidates and if it is monochromatic so be it and trying to tear that down is an act of racism. All big companies are now cutting the D.E.I. and Inclusion programs not due to social pressure but from market place response.
The research on punctuality versus perfection is truly eye-opening. It highlights how being late with a 'perfected' submission can lead to more critical judgments. This serves as a wake-up call for those who tend to tinker excessively. One significant advantage of prioritizing delivery is that it allows us to get more done and share our work more effectively! Interesting perspective! While perfectionism often carries a negative connotation in conversations like this, I think it can also be reframed as a positive when balanced well. Perfectionism can encourage us to hold ourselves to high standards and strive for excellence, but it’s important to prevent it from leading to self-criticism or unnecessary pressure. Learning to celebrate small wins and treating setbacks as opportunities for growth can make perfectionism a tool for learning, rather than a barrier. Thanks for sharing this—definitely gives me something to reflect on!
If someone does not like the environment they are asked to work in, they are free to seek out other opportunities where things align with their way of thinking.

1 周The assertion that AI advancements are decelerating may not fully capture the current landscape. While the pace of new releases might appear slower, this doesn't necessarily indicate a lack of progress. It's important to recognize that the speed of AI development is less critical than the nature of the advancements themselves. Once Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is achieved—a milestone some experts believe is imminent—the capability of AI systems to self-improve could lead to rapid, exponential growth far surpassing human capabilities. Therefore, a delay in public releases doesn't equate to a slowdown in actual progress.
