The views of #London are amazing from a #penthouse or top-floor living. What's not so great are the problems that can arise from an old roof, the responsibility of which is the freeholder! Albion Ra is undertaking a #refurb for a client whose top-floor flat has a concrete ceiling/roof! This means that condensation produces unsightly marks on his ceiling. The solution? Our client has no control over the roof, so we advised him to insulate his ceiling, followed by installing a 'Vapour Control Membrane', and then plasterboard. We are also installing new air vents flat wide. This means an end to nasty marks on newly painted ceilings. The additional bonus is that with a slightly dropped ceiling, our client now has more lighting options - to match that of the #Shard, which can be seen from he front balcony of this amazing property.
