I'm excited to announce that last week we helped two candidates land new jobs! ?? For one of our candidates, this was her first role in a non-clinical position!! It's incredibly gratifying to know that we're building a business that not only assists people in the short term but also creates a trajectory for a future they love. Often, the first opportunity is the hardest, and today, it's more about your experience than your credentials. Here’s my advice to clinicians or anyone making a career transition and looking to get their foot in the door: 1. Avoid getting certifications and extra degrees. They're not worth the time and money and don't significantly impact your job prospects. Today's hiring managers care more about your experience and skills than your titles. 2. Network more effectively. Superficial networking doesn't make a real difference. Focus on building meaningful connections. 3. Know what you don't know. You might think you're excelling, but interviewers and recruiters might see it differently. Most won't provide the hard, honest feedback you need because it's uncomfortable. ?? Thoughts on Recruitment ?? Another great day at work, and I want to share some insights and get other recruiters' knowledge. Yesterday, we had our aged care meeting at Healthcare Australia with recruiters Faye Campbell, Phoebe Cantlon, Diyana Nathan, Emily O'Connor, and Debbie Moss. One of the key topics was about our meetings with clients and what is truly important when we have a role to help them fill. Beyond the job description, we focused on something more personal -attributes not just about skills, experience, and qualifications. We discussed: ? What does your ideal person look like? ?What kind of personality do you need for your team? ?What does this candidate need to have that will make a great impact on your team? Busy old week at Isotope HQ this week. & I can't wait ?? We've got current clients welcoming new hires into their agencies this week ?? Clients boxing off recording breaking months (one even has recorded a record-breaking fee for them after 6 years of trading) ?? Clients moving into brand-spanking new offices (all as part of their continued growth) ?? We're setting up the next webinar for the Isotope community after some really exciting conversations with a few third parties last week (more on that to follow in the coming days) ???????? We're rolling out a new partnership relationship that, we hope, will bring such a positive impact to our education clients over the coming weeks (big S/O to the suppliers we've spoken to over the last few weeks about this) ?????? We're kickstarting the launch of a brand new agency this week headed up by a recruiter who really goes put the H in HR ?? & we're meeting with 2 recruiters this week who are both on the cusps of launching their own agencies - one across engineering & the other across the life sciences space - drastically different markets but similar ambitions I must say ????
