Mental health awareness week - Day 3 I think one of the hardest thing about a mental health challenges is that it can feel like people see the illness and stop seeing you. Anxiety, depression, etc can change the way you act and respond. It can feel like it changes who you are. When someone is going through mental health challenges it's important to look past that and see them. See who they are. I still remember I psychologist I worked with when I had PND commenting on me being a very different person once I improved. I was still the same person, it was just that the PND was no long tainting my image/what people saw. One of the best ways you can support someone is to take the time to see them, really know them. To look past the illness and value them as a person. #mhawnz
