Barge Master: An electric trike has joined the fleet at our Edzell base to help make travel around the seven-mile site as environmentally efficient as possible. Edzell also has six electric vans and an electric flatbed truck which is used for work offsite including deliveries to airports and quaysides. I’m excited to finally unveil what we’ve been working on for the past few months! Karman Industries is a thermal energy company focused on electrifying global manufacturing ? Hendrickson, a global manufacturer of suspension systems and components for medium- and heavy-duty #trucks and #trailers, has announced an investment in #solarenergy.? Hendrickson is building a solar farm in Joliet, Ill., to power their bumper plant.?The plant produces over 100,000 bumpers per year for the major Class 8 truck OEMs, school bus manufacturers and replacement bumper market in North America. This quantity could be used to build a small house with a floor area of 100 square meters and 3-meter high walls with a wall thickness of 25 cm every day. ?? But these bricks are not just any bricks. They are produced in an almost CO2-neutral way. This is because the electric kiln in the Uttendorf plant is powered by green electricity. The power is generated by the 1 million watts PV system on the roof, among other sources. ??
