Many companies wisely plan and begin execution a full season (a quarter) in advance. Why? - It takes time to strategize - Deadlines need to be recognized & firmed up - Campaigns need to be built - Creative may need to be developed - Media Buys may need to be arranged - Displays may need to be prepared - Inventory and/or Services need to be scheduled - Website probably requires updates - Teams need to be scheduled Not to mention stress for you, your teams, your systems & supply chains. During this planning time, we often get this question, “Shouldn’t we advertise when business is slower?”. The answer is yes; however, we recommend focusing more of your advertising budget just prior to and during any season where people are searching and looking for you product or service. People are creatures of habit and you cannot change that so talk to your potential clients more when they are more likely in the market. You are seeing @ferrerorocher @lindt and @hershey right now because this is when people are buying for the holidays, you do not see them much or at all in July. The other times of the year, you are still selling and branding (renting space in your future client’s heads) before they begin their search, thus elevating your brand so the consumer knows you and you are at the top of their list.
