Upcoming Nvidia Blackwell GPU will consume 1kW of power During Dell's recent earnings call, specifications for Nvidia's upcoming AI GPUs, known as Blackwell, were revealed by the CEO. The H100 GPUs from Nvidia boast a thermal design point (TDP) of 700W and are fabricated using a customized version of TSMC's 4N process, featuring 80 billion transistors and 80GB of HBM3, which enables a memory bandwidth of 3.5TBps. These GPUs offer up to 30 teraflops of peak standard IEEE FP64 performance, 60 teraflops of peak FP64 tensor core performance, and 60 teraflops of peak FP32 performance. Although Nvidia has not yet disclosed specifications for its Blackwell GPUs, this information is anticipated to be revealed at the company's GTC conference later this month. The expected release date for the Blackwell chips is the latter half of 2024, following the launch of Nvidia's H200 GPUs.
