This is a massacre. Not an act of heroism. We all want the hostages to be released. But not at the cost of 274 people killed. Mostly women and children. Let alone all children that are blown apart, unrecognizable losing limbs in this process. Each human life is worth equal. Children are priorities. That’s all. Not one nation over another. Anything other than that is bigotry racism and narcissism. Can you imagine a police force would kill 274 people in order to rescue 4 in a hostage situation. Would they be heroes? What would’ve happened if it was the other way around: 274 Israeli mostly women and children to save 4 Palestinians. Are not all lives worth equal? What is going on in this world that we consider this an act of heroism? ?? ?? As opposed to negotiating a Ceasefire and releasing all hostages and stopping the child massacre. Have we gone back to Roman times ? Valuable Masters and disposable Slaves ? Just in time for a Benny Gantz announcement. The narcissistic tactic of converting to hero following abuse. And the ?? ?? lap it up.

People in the midst of conflict,?displaced people, refugees, and asylum-seekers –?they are equal human beings deserving of treatment with dignity. Since I wrote 25 Million Sparks on the stories of refugee entrepreneurs back in 2018, the scale of devastation facing these communities has only gotten more severe. From Myanmar to Ukraine and now to Gaza, the lives of innocent people –?largely children – continue to be treated as collateral damage around the world. There are human rights laws and norms that are meant to protect civilians, especially children, during conflicts – people who have nothing to do with the violence around them and who cannot protect themselves. If we allow these laws and norms to erode, we are turning our backs on the most vulnerable –?and in the process degrading not just those who suffer through the violence, but all of us.?

October 7th – One Year Later. Today we mark one year since the unthinkable atrocities of October 7th. It’s been a year filled with grief, loss, shock, and the deep impact of tragedy that changed lives forever. But this day is not only about remembering those we lost—it is also about remembering those who can still be saved. 101 hostages remain in captivity. Many of them are still alive, waiting to return to their families, their friends, their homes. We believe that hope is not lost. Together, we must continue to raise awareness, push for action, and work toward bringing them back. On this day, we unite in remembrance of those we lost, but we also look forward to a safer future, believing in the strength of our nation and the bravery of our security forces and the IDF, defending us in multiple fronts.
