?? Looking forward to an epic later . ?? I’ve really enjoyed this tournament, watched most games & it’s reminded me a lot about what you need to do for your team to succeed : ?? There is no ‘one size fits all ‘ in modern teamwork , where research ( knowing todays opponents & field of play ) adaptability, dynamic problem solving & communication is key . ?? Having the right skillset in the right role to get the best from them & if this isn’t possible, taking remedial action to support those ‘out of position’ ?? The team has ‘starters & finishers’ - the people who come on through the game, can change the dynamic & inject motivation, energy & opportunity for the wider team ?? It’s not how you start that matters, it’s how you finish. Teams who win get better as the competition goes on . ?? A mix of experience & young talent delivers huge benefits ?? And as for the manager, Gareth Southgate, who’s been living this Steve Jobs quote : ‘ If you want to make everyone happy, don’t be a leader, sell Ice Cream ‘ Thanks & good luck tonight ?? #Leadership #Teamwork #Winning

Many of us are supposedly in the 'top 1%', and I guess we could be called 'elites' -- born this way, or ambitiously self-made -- therefore as a global class we must be willing to be the most self-critical in the first instance, if any discussions arise about stemming social inequality. Many insecure people are actually eager to uphold a hierarchical society; e.g., anyone seeking status via 'costly signalling'/ heroic consumerism are doing just this (whether they are conscious of this, or not). But the paradox is, it's likely to be only the elites that will be able to engineer change. I believe it will be the people who have both been working people AND elite in their own lifetimes -- one and the same -- who will have the most both-ways empathy and governing intelligence, here.

I always keep an open mind. The first question was self-sabatogging from a Hiring Mgr. It was, "Do you have a book of business?" Its a BIASED question toward having relationships with certain companies of which he could call out the names, specifically. You CAN'T do that anymore! My response was, "You're not giving me an opportunity to present the best of myself". He was set aback, and proceeded with the second question. It became a 30 min interview. I give him credit for his bravery to see a women. He's now someone in my fold to call on, for another reason in my Communities. I never throw opportunities away. I'll bring him value, and he will bring me value one day. This is a sales lesson, if you can't quite recognize it.
