We assume you're really good at a lot of tough things. But what about those routine, seemingly mindless tasks that every job requires? If you’re like a lot of creative people, the easy things can quickly become the tough things.? That’s why our creative people got excited about the idea of “75 Fresh” … our team’s voluntary challenge inspired by the 75-day mental toughness program “75 Hard.” But we wanted this to be fun, not hard. So we each set a goal for a daily task we want to do, we should do, but we don’t do as consistently as we’d like.? Each day, we take a photo when the task is complete and share it with the group. After 75 successful days (not necessarily 75 days in a row), we win. We’re still deciding on possible rewards. (Lunch in the park? A crafty day out?) But one thing we’re sure about already… From timesheets to routine reports to social posts, it’s amazing to watch how many “easy” tasks are finally getting done consistently.?? #wordsfresh #communications #challenge

Accelerating growth & boosting confidence of early career professionals: interns, recent grads, < 5 yrs exp | Co-Founder, Kokoon ?? | Mentor & Advisor ???? | Ex Amazon & WeWork
I went from intern to manager in 6 months. How? By being great at ONE thing. 1?? Back when I started my internship at WeWork in the marketing team I knew - let's be honest - nothing about paid marketing, how to buy ads, how to manage a budget (oh VAT is a thing?) or run calls with prospective agencies. What I did know though was ?? How to track all my work ?? Write down all the stuff I didn't know ??♀?Ask questions to people ?? Listen in meetings and take notes ?? Be organised and thorough I did end up learning all about media buys, CPMs, and VAT. ? But that's not what got me noticed. I got offered a job that basically doubled my pay, in my dream team, doing way more than my marketing remit not because I was great at marketing (I wasn't), but because I was known for getting stuff done. ?? I doubled down on being known for not dropping the ball, asking questions when I needed to, soaking up all the knowledge I can, and ruthlessly prioritising. ?? What's the moral of my story? Never forget VAT when budgeting. ??♀? But also ?? You can be great at your job, but what will get you noticed is your personal brand. Be great at ONE thing, be known for it. --- Oh if you're not sure how we actually teach this to early careers alongside all the skills we wish we had when we started. We're offering a FREE taster of our course: https://lnkd.in/dndFpDtr

Trying to create content that touches your "HEART" l Content Writer l Social Media Manager l Glimpses of college & life l Secretary of E-Cell l
My heart beat suddenly increased when he said yes - When sir said: Yes tell! I'm talking about the recent event. Some students(50) from our college went to T-Hub So, there was an session! And if there is no interaction in the session ?? Mja nhi ata fr To make that session interactive He asked: Students why you come here? He asked 5 students to answer - And I really want to answer because the answer which I want to give is different from other students. But, I'm so scared of - What if I say something wrong? - What if I stop in the middle? - What if I pronounced something wrong? I gave 15+ stage performance but still I have that fear I don't know why +Also when such kind of opportunity comes - I always try to ignore because of this speaking fear I know at the end I'll speak well only But still ?? After gathering all the courage - I finally decided to speak! And you know what sir said ? You tore it beta (faad diya tune to) You know sometimes, - You need to stand And speak rather than thinking about these stupid questions!! And sir gave us the surprise as well (To those students) Free entry ticket with family to t-hub?? So, Conclusion; If you have thoughts in your mind then speak, don't pack it and take it back home:) PS: Are you also scared of speaking PS: Give one reason why communication is important!? Neha at your service:) #publicspeaking #personalbranding #contentwritier

We're supporting new talent with funding, mentorship, access to industry and a platform to display their work, empowering them to grow as confident documentary makers. Applications for the 23-24 Doc Fund are now open! This year we have incorporated a theme: Working Class Working Class has become a tricky thing to define over the years. It's a complex and diverse class with many people not knowing where they fit. That's why we have included the theme 'Working Class' this year as we think it's a perfect time to find out what it means today. We’re seeking to support authentic short documentary projects that celebrate and explore the lives, experiences and triumphs of the working class. Your idea could offer a new perspective on working class identity, it could be about a working class community or person or, you may happen to define yourself as a working class storyteller that has something to say. There's no right or wrong answer. We want to hear from emerging talent who feel they would benefit from the support we're offering. Find out more about the incredible prizes and see if you're eligible: https://lnkd.in/eMDV_2C7

Here's what happened behind our screens this week! ?? Chief Operating Officer?Beatriz Gómez Moreno: "Most of my time is about the daily grind of operations, but this week's focus was on the human side, connecting with new people, and looking for ways to do what GORM does best. This was a much-needed reminder of why I love what I do as a social psychologist (including a few teardrops). Let's keep chasing our passions and letting them guide us forward."?? Creative Production Executive?Marcos Garcia: "This week has been a significant learning experience for me in terms of video editing. Every new project brings?challenges, which translates into personal growth. I'm happy for that!"?? Digital Marketing and Communications Executive?Eilís Walsh: "I feel things are really coming together in terms of a project we've been working on here at GORM and I'm both proud of my colleagues and myself for our individual parts in pushing this project to be the best it can be." ?? Communications Intern?Lorna Kaufmann: "My To Do list has been endless this week and somehow everything feels immediate. I've really had to take a moment to prioritise tasks and remind myself not to beat myself up up when those less important things don't get done until next week."?? Thanks for the feature, UST-Communication Arts Students' Association's CASA Chronicle! I talked about the significance of our Quill Award win, the importance of supportive mentors and collaborative teams, and why our "Whys" are the keys to our success. An excerpt from the article: "[T]here is a sense of achievement and fulfillment because winning the Quill Awards is an acknowledgment of the progress that they have made and the impact they have as communication students, that everything that they went through was worth it. The #QuillAwards affirmed their passion and commitment to the field of communication and media. "His advice to passionate communication students is to proactively seek opportunities for learning, growth, and skill development. He suggested taking on new projects, joining volunteer organizations or interest groups, such as UST Tiger Media Network, and engaging in extracurricular activities that align with one’s interests and goals in the future."

Professional training for public speaking? We all need it. Read here about our program focused on supporting #professionalwomen.
Meet some of our earlier #Sydney #WomenSpeaking graduates. This photo shows the magic + power of presentation. Our experience tells us, when our attendees discover they can share insights, knowledge + professional experience with skill, strategy + focus, they discover a power they didn't know they had. To put it mildly, they are ecstatic + proud. As they should be. They are ready for any and all verbal presentations from meetings to conferences, stakeholder engagement, board presentations + more. For many of us, #publicspeaking is our greatest fear. For others, we want to present/speak in a way that matches our professional expertise. We want high level training to support us. For this + other programs, see our website link below. #WomenSpeaking workshops are scheduled for #Canberra April 30 #Sydney May 8, 2024. Also, coming soon, #SpeakingStudio with 1:1 50-minute sessions available for all professionals (online or face2face in Milsons Point, Sydney). https://lnkd.in/e_D65c7g #speakingskills #corporatecommunications #conferencespeaker #womeninbusiness #womeninfinance #womeninbanking #womenintech #womeninsuper #womeninconstruction #womeninarchitecture #womeninagriculture #womenineducation #academicpublishing #governmentbusiness #womeninlaw #speakingcoach
