Why apply to Fora's Rise on Boards program? Because Rise on Boards (formerly Girls on Boards) trains & places emerging leaders experiencing gender-based discrimination at the board table for the first time — and Boards are the highest level of decision-making in organizations. Our Rise on Boards Young Directors have a chance to meaningfully participate as voting members of a non-profit board for their one-year terms. Here’s what participants get out of the program: ? Access to an incredible, experiential leadership opportunity through a one-year placement on a governance board ? An opportunity to create social change, impact organizational decision-making, and help drive change in your community ? The chance to grow your peer and professional network ? 1:1 mentorship from senior professionals, who will invest in and support your personal leadership and career development journey ? Developing new skills in governance, financials, fundraising, professional communications, and leadership Applicants must be young leaders between the ages of 18-25, and reside in Canada during the program. Learn more, share with a friend, or apply by May 5, 2024 at 23:59 EST for your chance to be part of the next cohort of decision-makers shaping board rooms across Canada. (Tip: the application process does take some time, so start early!) https://lnkd.in/dcU8yVwV
