As I reflect on my journey career-wise; whether on the tarmac or in the corporate HQ offices, I’m reminded of the core values instilled in me during my time with the United States Air Force. This may sound cliché but... these principles guide your approach and can significantly enhance any role if properly applied: I- Integrity First: Upholding a standard of honesty and accountability is essential in fostering trust within a team and key players. When leading, maintaining transparency in decision-making and ensuring compliance with regulations is critical to achieving organizational goals. II- Service Before Self: Prioritizing the needs of the team and the mission above personal interests creates a culture of camaraderie and dedication. This value is especially vital in roles that involve collaborating with union leadership and managing diverse teams, as it cultivates a respectful and engaged work environment. III- Excellence in All We Do: Striving for excellence drives continuous improvement and innovation. In overseeing performance, from safety compliance to customer handling, this commitment ensures we not only meet but exceed performance metrics and service standards. If you are a vet, continue integrating these core values into your daily operations, not only to enhance your performance but to also empower your teams to excel.
