It is interesting the high standards we hold for ourselves against the people we admire only to realise we have held ourselves to too high standards by comparison.
Today I was a vivid witness to something I am still trying to comprehend. So for my Y?rkumi Tribers I hold my ingredients in high esteem, I cannot begin to count the number of supppliers I have had to overlook even with more affordable prices, sometimes I pinch myself to be sure my senses are working.
So I met this business person in my field, we got acquainted & we got talking. She is searching for a raw material & apparently there is a supplier within our meet up space who was selling.
Now I had seen this ingredient & my high standard self will not even permit me to take a 2nd look.
I stole glances with the corner of my eye just to appease my curious soul ??. But here comes the one person I thougt would actually puke at the sight of this ingredient hurriedly negotiating price in the name of it is more affordable.
The high standards me just collapsed at the sight of this - 'no, it cannot be possible' video I just watched.
See my Dear, role-models are good, no infact a bedrock if you ask me but hold & form your own standards within the walls of your own intergrity so that when no one is watching under the euphoria of plubicism you can still proudly boast to your little miss self that you held the gun to your chest and the bullet got nothing on you.
By all means admire others, study them, if possible, learn their ways to your success but never ever let them frame your standards - that is all you.
So cheers, here is to framing our own standards even above those we admire.
Happy Weekend Tribers.
