Is your Company compliant with all aspects of employment legislation? In 2023 the WRC heard 4,765 adjudications (a 12% increase versus 2022), made 6,519 site inspections and recovered €1,950,600 of unpaid wages (source WRC 2023 Annual Report). Do all of your employees have written terms of employment? Are the correct employee policies up to date and issued to all employees? When issues arise in the workplace, are these policies followed and the stages managed correctly? It is not enough to have the policies gathering dust in a handbook - a major issue where employers come into problems is not following their own policies. I would encourage all employers to get ahead of any potential problems to avoid time-consuming and costly employee issues. Protect your workplace by ensuring it is compliant - invest the time now to build the foundations of employee policies and procedures to reduce the potential future impact.
