The report on SQW's study for the General Dental Council has now been published, exploring the attitudes towards, perceptions and experiences of the GDC amongst early career dental professionals. I really enjoyed working on this, alongside a brilliant SQW team of Carolyn H., Bill Carroll, Matthew Timms, Luke Bailey-Withers and Sheetal Parmar (née Mistry). We explored the views and experiences of dentists and dental care professionals who had been registered with the GDC for up to five years, via a survey and interviews. The #research found that most early career dental professionals hold either a positive (44%) or neutral (30%) perception of the GDC. Perceptions of the GDC vary among different dental professions. For example, dental nurses had the highest positive perceptions, whilst dentists had the lowest positive perceptions.
