Thank you, Philanthropy Colorado, for highlighting our work and the impact of Adelante! As Hispanic Heritage Month concludes, sustained investments in Colorado’s Latino communities and Latino-led nonprofits remain essential to building a more equitable future for our state. Adelante Colorado is a testament to what intentional investments can achieve. With the support of The Colorado Health Foundation, this pilot program nurtures the growth of Latino leaders and nonprofit organizations through grants, leadership development, and community engagement opportunities. The latest Adelante Colorado Evaluation Report highlights the program's success: 100% of participants reported growth in leadership, organizational capacity, and community collaboration. 82% increased their budgets and fundraising efforts. 67% grew their staffing and deepened their advocacy and strategic planning efforts. Adelante is about more than metrics—it's about building personal power and fostering trusted relationships that elevate the value of our leaders and communities. With one-third of Colorado’s residents projected to be Latino in the next 20-25 years, the well-being of these communities is inseparable from the well-being of our state. Campaigns are won and lost on leadership. No other single factor impacts a campaign’s outcome. Gone are the days that a cowboy gift officer or a dedicated philanthropy director could successfully campaign alone. Instead, campaigns are about aligning the organization’s top strategic priorities with donors’ top philanthropic priorities. Because campaigns involve and impact the community on such a deep and personal level, leadership from the community is critical, acting as an invaluable endorsement. Yet, we often allow our leaders to dictate their own level of engagement in the campaign process, resulting in unclear and inconsistent leadership as well as frustration and demotivation among other volunteers. Check out the latest piece by Accordant's Heather Wiley Starankovic, CFRE, CAP, and John Donovan to learn about the typical obstacles and challenges organizations encounter when building their campaign leadership, as well as effective tools and strategies to overcome them: https://ow.ly/t5VM50ROHjt #healthcare #philanthropy #campaigns #leadership

For some, March may be known as "March Madness". For the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, the month of March is all about the contributions of women in the #nonprofit sector. Women make up 75% of jobs in the nonprofit, education, and philanthropic sectors, but women hold far less than 75% of leadership positions in these organizations. We strongly believe that these women must be represented fairly in the leadership of nonprofit organizations, paid equally for their work, and have a fair voice in the important work that nonprofits do.
