More firms across sectors are expanding their footprint in India — and tech talent is in demand.
AI and data science firm Tredence Inc. on Wednesday announced that it will increase its headcount by 60% by mid-2025 and hire 1,500 new employees,?Ashutosh Mishra?reports for Business Standard.
Co-founder and CEO Shub Bhowmick shared on LinkedIn that the company is expanding its footprint with new offices in Pune and Kolkata, and upgrading its facilities in Bengaluru and Chennai. The company will recruit for data science, data engineering, data analytics, MLOps, LLMOps, Gen AI, and marketing analytics, among other roles, adds the report.
US-based Glean Technologies Inc has also set up its first office in India and plans to triple its headcount to 450 at its Bengaluru centre, The Economic Times reports, citing founder and CEO Arvind Jain. The firm will hire for roles across software engineering, AI, ML, finance, legal, and marketing, among others.
French pharmaceutical company Sanofi plans to invest ?3,600 crore over the next six years to expand its global capability centre in Hyderabad. It aims to double the centre's headcount to 2,600 employees over the next two years. The company will hire software engineers, data analysts, product engineers, and scrum masters, said Emmanuel Frenehard, Executive Vice-President and Chief Digital Officer.
Panasonic Avionics Corporation this week opened its new facility in Pune to develop and deliver in-flight entertainment and connectivity solutions. The company plans to expand its software engineering capabilities.
