TWO more sleeps until our third running of the LAST Conference Adelaide. It's a sell out and now THE hardest task is deciding which sessions to attend after the keynote by Lynne Cazaly "Curate your Conference Learning Experience", I suspect Lynne might provide some valuable insights on that ;-) Such a great range of talks and workshops and huge thanks to all the session leaders for helping create a world class conference here in Adelaide, which is beyond Lean, Agile and Systems Thinking. Special thanks to quite a number travelling from interstate to provide their expertise and participation, look forward to hosting you here in Adelaide. Our purpose this year set out to help you navigate complexity through the themes of leadership, change, teamwork and innovation, again the connections, networking and shared learning experiences will transcend that I am sure. The Adelaide brains trust this year in partnership with Tabar, Ed Wong Lisa Jacob Craig Brown has been the 'family' crew of Sabika Jasmine - PSM, ITIL, MS Azure, IOT, Frank Buechele Natalie Benovic Jason Cameron ?? ??, with Aku Sopanen, Shirley Banderas and Lina Perez Idarraga stepping up to help on Friday. For our first time (officially I guess), we have supporters to thank also, headline supporters RAA, passionate supporters EverestEngineering, supporters ScrumCraft, Torrens University Australia, Tabar and backers Aplo, Randstad Digital - means a lot to us, the Adelaide Agile Community, as this is a grassroots conference, we are a not for profit, open to all/free community meetup group and this support benefits the community, us, you in what we can achieve in future events and upcoming years. Again, this is beyond agile and as per our LAST handbook We exist to.... Raise the levels of people who create digital products and services. Our guiding principles are to: ● Increase knowledge, understanding and capability. ● Provide affordable, accessible, and valuable in-person and online learning opportunities. ● Involve our community as session leaders, content creators and local organisers. See you Friday and if not, at an upcoming monthly meetup, third Thursday of every month, or look out for LAST Conferences 2024 in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane or of course, Adelaide 2025. https://lnkd.in/gFQEgqp6

Online learning is awesome, but does anyone else miss ????-???????????? ????????????? We're all used to webinars, Zoom lectures, and learning on YouTube – super convenient and time-saving, for sure. But let's be honest, who hasn't done some sneaky homework during an online lecture? (?me!) Not exactly productive, right? There's something special about offline events - the atmosphere where you can truly dive deep into the information. Recently, I had the chance to attend an incredible?lecture at Diia.Business on "???????????? ?????????? ?????????????????????? ?????? ???????????????? ????????????." The speaker, Tetiana Lehka, was amazing – talented, professional, and engaging. The entire 1.5 hours were packed with practical tips, useful info, and tons of inspiration! What really impressed me was the audience interaction. Tetiana kept everyone involved, and the questions were great. This only confirmed my love of live events. Definitely a must-attend experience! ? What about you??Do you like such events or find them boring? P.S. Let me know in the comments if you'd be interested in a follow-up post with all the insights I picked up! Happy to share the inspiration.

Title: The Rise of Webinars: A Gateway to Knowledge and Connection ????In an increasingly interconnected world, webinars have emerged as a popular and effective means of sharing knowledge and fostering connections across geographical boundaries. These online seminars offer a convenient platform for experts to engage with audiences, delivering valuable insights and facilitating meaningful discussions on a wide range of topics. ????One of the key advantages of webinars is their accessibility. Participants can join from anywhere with an internet connection, eliminating the need for travel and accommodation expenses associated with traditional in-person events. This accessibility not only expands the reach of knowledge-sharing initiatives but also makes learning more inclusive and equitable. ????Webinars also provide a dynamic and interactive learning experience. Through features such as live chat, polls, and Q&A sessions, participants can engage with presenters in real-time, asking questions, sharing perspectives, and collaborating with peers. This interactivity fosters deeper engagement and facilitates a more comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. ????Furthermore, webinars offer flexibility for both hosts and participants. With the ability to record sessions, organizers can reach a broader audience by making content available on-demand, allowing individuals to access information at their own convenience. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for busy professionals juggling work, family, and other commitments. ????From educational institutions to businesses and nonprofit organizations, webinars have become an integral part of knowledge dissemination and professional development efforts. By leveraging this versatile tool, individuals and organizations can connect, learn, and grow in meaningful ways, driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and shaping a brighter future for all. #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinking #designthinkers

Event Details at onlinevents.co.uk Title:?Absent Father Effect on Daughters Presenter:?Susan Schwartz Date:?Monday, 2 December 2024 Location:?Online via Zoom From the perspective of Jungian analytical psychology, the archetype of father is perceived through a variety of symbols and images internalised from the family and culture reflective of each era. When father is absent to himself, the daughter attempts to enliven him but deadens herself. This can manifest as poor self-connection, body issues, low self-esteem, and dissatisfying relationships. The emotional and/or physical absence becomes internalised for the daughter as emptiness. Jungian analytical psychology, focusing on the search for the complete self, assists in rebalancing the personality through the unconscious coming to consciousness.

Today, it's my day! I've been awarded as the #speaker of the day by Sessionize.com. I feel happy and proud of this accomplishment. So, let's rewind my mind and look at my (still brief) speaker career. I started doing talks in 2020. They were mainly online meetups that I attended. The guy who brought me into this world has been Innocenzo Sansone. I must only say a huge thanks to him. He allowed me to start and mentored me with some groundbreaking advice. Another milestone in my career happened in late 2022 when I came across Sessionize.com. I felt the need to attend on-site? meetings, hence I was looking for a way to achieve this. Sessionize has several great features. First, it allows you to discover events grouped by position, topic, etc. Then, it lets you create sessions and easily submit them to conferences you care about. It allows you to keep track of the submissions' status, among others. I joined so many different events thanks to Sessionize. I joined both national and global events. I could join popular events and share the scene with first-class speakers. It also contributes to my commitment to widespread the #go programming language and #testing awareness. Thanks to this platform, I can promote these topics worldwide and reach a bigger audience. Now, let's talk about the reasons to join these events. First, it's for networking. It's a well-known fact you can meet passionate guys/girls who share your passions and interests. It's an opportunity to share opinions and get to know the others. Learning is the second reason. You can have the chance to learn about new tools, methodologies, libraries, and packages. You might discover something you were looking for at your work. Lastly, it's the storytelling. I love to listen to life stories since they can bring you lots of value, something you cannot read in online documentation! Before going ahead, let me thank Sessionize.com for the efforts they put into building such a great product. I think that each speaker is enrolled there and the reasons are obvious! Now, it's time for me to look ahead and settle everything to address my future speaking challenges! So, if you're curious, please stay tuned! The best has yet to come ?? https://lnkd.in/dJDyTEz9 #speaker #learning #networking #conferences

You know that feeling when you jump on a session in #Zoom, and the presenter has got their visual presence all figured out and lookin' super polished? You know, like with their logo and name over the top of their video. And their brand colours round the edges. They're screen sharing with a cool layout that makes their content look uber slick and professional... And everything's animated and engaging, like they're on a TV show... And you kind of feel a bit sh*tty. Because you know that you know your stuff, but your stuff doesn't look ???????? cool. And you've no idea how to do all those fancy things and don't really know where to start. And time. Time! Who has the time to learn all of this?! ?? ???????? ??'???? ?????? ???????? ????????. You can learn all of the above in less than a week, with very little time investment. ?????????????? ???????????????????? ?????????????????????? with the Facilitainer - Starting this Monday 03 Feb - Friday 07 Feb - 2 hours per day ??????'???? ?????????? ?????? ????: ? Master the tech to create professional looking sessions ? Engage audiences with animated transitions and layouts ? Stand out with a branded look and feel ? Simplify your workflow ? Have you ever been to a professional conference that doesn't have any guest speakers or keynote speakers? Nor PPT slides? Nor vendor booths? ?? ? Ever heard of a Story Camp? ? I hadn't, either. ? But a few weeks ago I traveled to Munich, Germany and participated in my second Story Camp: a professional development event with no guest speakers, no pre-determined content, no celebrity keynotes, and no powerpoints! (a kind of heaven, really). Just ~60 people who: -work in some facet of #organizationaldevelopment -are all a tad bit #obsessed with applying the power of #Story to our work -come from countries like Belgium, Austria, Slovakia, Chile, Brazil, and Germany -to get away from the everyday worklife flurry to spend 3.5 days #learning from and with each other -about our favorite #methods, #tools, #approaches and #questions at the intersection of #Story, #humanconnection and #organizational #development (and adjacent). ? Just 3.5 days centered on #sharing #knowledge and #connecting, where everyone is simultaneously an expert AND a learner.? ? And this year we met at a small medieval castle, now also a brewery, with a biergarten, (of course, its Germany!) and an organ museum, near a river, surrounded by plentiful greenery and Bavarian forests in Valley, a village in the countryside outside of Munich. (You know, to really get the full effect of 'we're getting away to learn together.')?? ? Story Camp is organized by a group of leaders of the BEYOND STORYTELLING NETWORK, an international #communityofpractice I have been a part of for nearly 5 years. (I found them here on LInkedIn in 2019, in fact!) ? And since my experiences have been so enriching, I want to share some of what I learned at Story Camp in order to highlight the power of #peerlearning, and to give you practical ideas to solve your own #team or #organizational #challenges. Hope you join in on the fun!! (cuz learning is #fun and #story makes it more fun) Wolfgang Tonninger Philipp Gosselck Ana-Laura Lemke Michael Müller Christine Erlach Patrick Castellani

An engaging, valuable, insightful course or event is often the result of a series of small but important moments. Moments which are strung together like a beautiful set of small lightbulbs which illuminate the space and people's thoughts and ideas. One small but hugely important 'moment' is the first 15 minutes. I don't mean when your 'content' starts, I mean from the moment people step into your virtual or physical space. The moment they walk in the door looking for a seat. The moment they enter your virtual space anticipating, looking forward to or perhaps feeling nervous about what the next few hours might bring. If we get the welcome right, it makes everything else so much easier to achieve. It sets the scene for the group and creates the space and the environment which is just right for your session. I have lots of different welcomes and starts to courses and sessions, all of which shape the space in a particular way. All of which help the rest of the session to go well. Here's 3 questions I got a group who were learning all about facilitation to think about a couple of weeks ago. It provoked some great discussion and ideas. What would your answers be? #thefacilitationspace #facilitation #facilitator #trainingcourse #virtualfacilitator #virtualfacilitation
